NAMA Zinedine Zidane terkenal sebagai seorang pesepakbola andal yang telah meraih semua trofi bergengsi baik di level klub ataupun Tim Nasional (Timnas)Prancis. Kendati demikian, tidak ada jaminan jika kegemilangan Zidane di dunia sepakbola akan menular kepada anak-anaknya.
Zidane memiliki empat anak hasil pernikahannya dengan Veronique Fernandez Lentisco. Kempat anak Zidane bernama Enzo Fernandez, Luca Zidane, Theo Zidane dan Elyaz Zidane. Mereka mengikuti jejak sang ayah dengan aktif bermain sepakbola, tetapi dalam hal kemampuan dan prestasi belum terlihat tanda-tanda bahwa keempatnya akan mampu menyamai Zizou –sapaan akrab Zidane.

Pada 2016, Enzo dilatih lagi oleh sang ayah ketika Zidane ditunjuk menggantikan Rafael Benitez. Kendati demikian, nasib pemain berusia 23 tahun itu tetap tak mengalami perubahan. Semasa Zidane menjabat sebagai pelatih, Enzo hanya satu kali bermain untuk tim utama Madrid yakni di Copa del Rey. Pada penampilannya itu Enzo mencetak gol, tetapi itu tak cukup untuk mempertahankan kariernya di Santiago Bernabeu.
Enzo akhirnya harus dijual Madrid ke Deportivo Alaves pada musim panas 2017. Semusim di Alaves, Enzo kembali harus hijrah sebagai secara permanen ke klub kasta kedua Liga Swiss, Lausanne-Sport, pada musim dingin 2018. Namun, setengah musim kemudian Enzo harus menerima nasib dilego sebagai pemain pinjaman ke klub kasta kedua Liga Spanyol, Rayo Majadahonda, hingga saat ini.
Berbeda dengan Enzo, nasib Luca masih jauh lebih baik karena hingga saat ini ia masih menjadi bagian dari Madrid. Luca adalah penjaga gawang ketiga Madrid pada musim ini. Meskipun begitu, sulit untuk membayangkan karier Luca akan berkembang lebih pesat dari sekarang.
Pasalnya, Luca harus melewati Thibaut Courtois dan Keylor Navas untuk menjadi penjaga gawang utama Madrid. Sementara itu, dua anak terakhir Zidane yakni Theo dan Elyaz masih berada di Madrid. Theo bermain untuk Madrid U-18 sedangkan sang adik masih belajar di akademi Los Blancos –julukan Madrid.

At just 20 years of age, Luca will play his first match at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in a season where he had not been given a look-in by previous coaches Julen Lopetegui or Santiago Solari.
The youngster's Real Madrid future is still in the air given that there are two top quality goalkeepers ahead of him in Keylor Navas and Thibaut Courtois.
Continuing at Real Madrid Castilla is also unlikely as he has already played for the reserves for two years, but his performance against Huesca could change all that.

Real Madrid goal keeper Luca Zidane has spoken of his pride at playing his first senior game at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 20 year-old was handed his first start of the 2018-19 season by father Zinedine, after first team goal keepers Thibaut Courtois and Keylor Navas were not fit to start for Los Blancos.
"I am very proud to play here at the Bernabeu.
"I have come through the youth team at the club, and after many years of hard work I am pleased to make my home debut."
The French U20 international conceded two goals as Real Madrid came from behind to beat bottom of the table Huesca, and Zidane Snr confirmed that Luca would remain as third choice.

Un pase que quita el hipo
Lo dijo Zinedine en sala de prensa. "Luca lleva 16 años en las categorías inferiores del Madrid, tiene personalidad". De eso no hay duda. De otra manera un hijo de uno de los futbolistas más grandes de la historia del fútbol no hubiera escogido ser portero y no jugador, aunque talento en los pies siempre ha tenido. Su pase medido a Brahim lanzando una contra da fe de ello.
El segundo hijo (por detrás de Enzo, hoy en el Majadahonda) lleva en la cantera blanca desde 2004 (con seis añitos) y ha pasado por todos los escalones, salvo por el Juvenil C, dando el salto de Cadete a Juvenil B. Luca ingresó en el prebenjamín e hizo cima en el primer equipo, casi siempre acompañado de un amigo inseparable, Achraf.
Una vida en blanco
De la mano se hicieron un hueco con los mayores la temporada pasada. Lleva toda la vida en La Fábrica y es indiscutible en el Castilla. Las dudas del pasado han desaparecido. Este año se ha confirmado como un portero que da puntos. Ni Moha, ni Belman amenazan su puesto. Y en el vestuario, a pesar de sus 20 años, ya es peso pesado.
No obstante, el futuro de Luca está en el aire. Si el Castilla asciende, seguirá. Una temporada de rodaje en Segunda es ideal para él. Si no, existe la opción de ascender al primer equipo como tercer portero sin bajar al filial para jugar, ya que una tercera temporada es demasiado para un portero del Castilla; más remoto es el escenario de ser segundo portero, con Keylor y Courtois con contrato y Lunin de vuelta del Leganés, más allá de que si tiene nivel para ser suplente de un Madrid está por verse; y completa las posibilidades una salida, que ya se intentó este verano tras la marcha de su padre pero que no se concretó.

Pero Zinedine Zidane ya advirtió de que jugarían todos de aquí al final de temporada y Luca ha trabajado mucho en la sombra para merecer la oportunidad.
Y es que el joven futbolista, que tan solo cuenta con 20 años, además de exprimirse en los entrenamientos de Valdebebas, se prepara a conciencia lejos de la ciudad deportiva del club blanco bajo la atenta mirada de Adolfo Madrid , que también trabaja con otros jugadores como Marcos Llorente, Ibai Gómez, Borja Mayoral o Roberto Sobrino.
"No nos metemos con el trabajo que hace cada uno en su equipo, que tienen sus propias dinámicas. Nosotros nos adaptamos al momento del jugador, que suele buscar mejoras en aspectos como la resistencia, la fuerza, la velocidad, la explosividad o también rehabilitarse tras alguna lesión”, explica el preparador físico de Luca en una entrevista concedida a la revista GC.
" Lo hacemos todo de la salud al rendimiento , por ese orden, eso es vital. De la musculatura profunda, estática, a la musculatura superficial, dinámica. Preparar el cuerpo es lo primero y a partir de ahí, plantear objetivos”, añade.
Y Luca ha entrenado a conciencia para estar a la altura de las circunstancias en partidos como el disputado ante el Huesca. “Me alegro por él y por su debut aquí con una victoria. Es el tercer portero. Estaba mal Courtois y quería dar descanso a Keylor. Ha salido bien”, explicaba Zinedine Zidane tras el choque ante el conjunto oscense.
No sabemos a estas alturas si el guardameta volverá a defender la portería del primer equipo en lo que resta de temporada, pero lo que es seguro es que Luca cuida al milímetro cada detalle para no defraudar sobre el terreno de juego y dar más argumentos a sus detractores. Más allá de la alargada sombra de un apellido, hay muchas horas de trabajo. Es hijo de su padre. Pero está preparado.

Ditmaal was het dus de beurt aan zijn 20-jarige zoon Luca om tussen de palen te gaan staan.
Maar veel hoeft daar niet achter gezocht, gaf vader Zidane mee na de match.
"Courtois ontbrak door een dijblessure die hij met België opliep en Navas had door interlandverplichtingen met Costa Rica nood aan een beetje rust", zei Zidane.
"Daarom gaf ik een kans aan Luca (die niet meer speelde sinds de laatste match van vorig seizoen, red). Voor de duidelijkheid: Luca is onze 3e doelman."
Het scoreverloop in Real-Huesca (0-1, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2) was prettig voor de neutrale liefhebber, maar deed pijn aan de ogen van de Madrileense fans.
Zidane: "Het was een gekke match, maar geweldig voor de mensen om naar te kijken. We hebben afgezien en hebben tot het einde moeten strijden, proficiat aan de tegenstander."
Er waren meer dan 30.000 lege stoeltjes in Santiago Bernabeu. De ploeg heeft dan ook geen titelambities meer. Zidane: "Toch wil ik nog alle wedstrijden winnen die we dit seizoen moeten spelen."
