Bella Thorne's mom has denied any knowledge of the shocking sexual abuse that the actress says devastated her childhood - and says she needs therapy herself to ‘process’ the revelations.
Former Disney star Bella took to Instagram Sunday alleging that she had been repeatedly molested in her own bedroom but declining to say who the perpetrator was.
'I was sexually abused and physically growing up from the day I can remember till I was 14...when I finally had the courage to lock my door at night and sit by it,' she wrote.
'All damn night. Waiting for someone to take advantage of my life again. Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did.' The 20-year-old later added in a Tweet: 'I never knew what was right or wrong growing up..I didn't know the person sneaking into my bed room at night was a bad person,'
Speaking today from her Los Angeles home, Bella's mom Tamara Thorne said it was the first time she had ever heard about the shocking abuse that allegedly happened under her roof.

Bella's mom Tamara Thorne told DailyMail.com she had no idea that her daughter had been abused under her own roof
A family friend confirmed to DailyMail.com that Tamara and Bella had discussed the Instagram post but added: 'I'm really sorry but she's not ready to address this yet.'
Bella took to Instagram on Monday to further detail how she was molested as a child
'It’s a private family matter and I only just found out now,' Tamara, 47, exclusively told DailyMail.com. 'I’m just talking to a therapist about it. I’m processing it - it’s not something I knew about before.
'I hadn’t heard about it before. I want to talk to my therapist first about it. I’m actually going to see a therapist, a psychologist about it.'

Bella grew up in the Pembroke Pines suburb of Miami and lost her Cuban father Delancey Thorne in a car accident when she was just nine years old.
Tamara relocated the family to LA, where she was raised with her three siblings, half-sister Kaili, Dani, and Remy. Dani, 24,and Kaili, 25, are also actresses while 22-year-old Remy is an MMA fighter.
Their household also included Stephan Muskus, 34, who was taken in by Tamara and Delancey as a young boy and was treated like a second son, according to family members.
Bella's maternal uncle James Beckett, 42, told DailyMail.com her father would be 'turning over in his grave' to hear that that one of his daughters had been abused, especially in her own home.
'Delancey would never stand for that. My sister would never have allowed it. We had never heard about any of this before now,' said Beckett, who previously ran a removals company for Delancey.
‘Bella and her sister Dani always slept in the same room. Dani would have to know about this too.

‘Me and Delancey would joke that we’d need an extensive gun collection to deal with the boyfriends when the girls started dating. He was very protective.’
Bella began working as a child actress aged just six, using the money to help support her family as she blossomed into a major star with Disney.
She has spoken previously about her difficult childhood, saying she suffered from dyslexia and was bullied at school for speaking Spanish.
The 'Famous in Love’ actress first hinted at the sexual abuse in December when someone Tweeted her to say: 'What did Disney do to this girl?! I think she was molested?'
Bella replied with the cryptic message: 'Yeah I was. So it wasn’t Disney.'
Her latest revelations came Sunday night ahead of the Golden Globes, where attendees dressed head to toe in black to show solidarity for the Time’s Up movement taking a stand against sexual harassment.
The Instagram message also called on other sex abuse victims to bravely share their own traumas, adding: 'Some of us aren't as lucky to get out alive. Please today stand up for every soul Mistreated. #timesup' Fans responded with an outpouring of support prompting Bella to post a tearful video in Twitter telling them to 'fucking stay strong - I love you guys.'
She added in an Instastory video Monday: 'I'm on Twitter reading about all the people sharing sexual abuse stories with me from mine and I just want to say I'm really proud of all you guys. Stay strong, peace, I love you guys.'

Rob Lowe roasted Bella Thorne on Instagram Thursday after the actress complained of her traffic troubles amid the southern Californian mudslides that have left 17 dead, 43 missing and hundreds trapped inside their homes.
The 20-year-old 'My Own Worst Enemy' actress took to her Twitter page Wednesday writing: 'F**k u 101 Barbara. I'm missing my boyfriend's first date on his tour.'
Shortly after Thorne's tone-deaf post, 53-year-old actor Lowe responded to the message saying: 'This attitude is why people hate celebrities/Hollywood. Bella, I'm sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker.'
Rather quickly, comments flowed in about Thorne's message. One wrote: 'Her attitude of inconvenience over humanity is disgraceful.'
Another said: 'The fact that she is so very out of touch with reality but even more human suffering is appalling!!!! She is just a punk who could move to putter space and no one would even notice!!!! I am sending my thoughts, prayer and money to help!!!'
While one other added to Lowe's page: 'That was very rude of her.... sad for all who is going thru such loss.'
It seems Thorne, who made headlines this week for her childhood sex abuse revelation, has since deleted the post about missing her boyfriend rapper Mod Sun.
Lowe said sadly that some of his friends were among the victims, while writing on Instagram: 'More terrible stories of loss today. Friends missing, some gone forever. Pray for Montecito and know: EVERY day could be your last. Embrace that.'

Meanwhile, celebs like Gwyenth Paltrow suffered double heartbreak after the mudslides wrecked the grounds of her multimillion dollar Montecito home and 'devastated' the beautiful boutique hotel where she married Chris Martin.
Paltrow only bought the $4.9 million property, in Tollis Avenue in 2016, which boasted 'Monet-like gardens' and stunning water features.
Sadly, it's the grounds that have been hit hardest by the deadly mudslides. The floods dumped thick mud over its lawns and in its ponds and swimming pool, while photos show that sections of her awning and veranda appear to have been torn off.
The actress still hasn't moved into the Montecito property, which was advertised as a fixer upper on one site, and another listing as 'vacant land with two existing residential structures,' which has it has been mired in planning issues after the Shakespeare in Love star's proposals for a new mansion infuriated her neighbors.

And it's not just her property portfolio that took a hit on Tuesday.
San Ysidro Ranch, where she tied the knot with Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, has been all but destroyed by the mudslides. The couple wed in the ranch's Willow Cottage in a private ceremony on December 5, 2003. They divorced last year but the pair remain friends and have two children together.
The beloved venue for countless celebrity weddings, from Lawrence Olivier's nuptials with Vivien Leigh in 1940, to Jessica Simpson's wedding to Eric Johnson in 2014. Hilary Duff and Sandra Bullock both spent their wedding nights at the San Ysidro Ranch.
Even the Kennedys honeymooned here after JFK wed Jacqueline in 1953.
But the ranch, which is nestled 500 acres of gardens in the mountains of Montecito, was ravaged by Tuesday's mudslides that tore through the wealthy enclave bringing death and destruction to anything that stood in its way.

San Ysidro Ranch said that they had not yet been able to return to the property to assess the full damage.
Photos shows the true depth of devastation. Many of the property's 41 individually styled cottages have been buried or wiped out completely.
Some show the rubble and remains from the cottages piled up on top of each other.
Ricki Lake, who married Christian Evans in a secret ceremony at the ranch on April 8, 2012 - with just their dogs as guests - tweeted: ' OH NO!!! I got married to my beloved there. :( My already broken heart is gutted yet again. #SanYsidroRanch XO.'

The mudslides destroyed 100 houses and damaged 300 others after debris spread across a wide swath of Montecito - a wealthy enclave of about 9,000 people northwest of Los Angeles that is home to a number of high profile celebrities.
The death toll climbed to 17 yesterday as emergency workers pulled bodies from a river of knee-deep mud and continued to search grimy debris and ruins for the eight people still missing.
Santa Barbara Sheriff Bill Brown told residents forced from their homes this morning that he was' searching for a miracle'.
'We know that this a terribly inconvenient development but it is also incredibly necessary,' he said.
Santa Barbara Sheriff, pictured in August last year, addressed residents who had been displaced from their homes on Thursday
'It doesn't mean that they [the 43 people] are all actively missing. We certainly are searching for a miracle right now.'
'This entire area is a very active rescue and recovery and repair zone right now,' he said as he announced new mandatory evacuation boundaries.
Aerial images of the area show that Oprah Winfrey's $50million estate managed to survive the mudslide. She said her property had suffered some minor damage, but nothing compared to that of her neighbors.
Shocking images that captured the area north of Oprah's estate show severely damaged homes that were completely engulfed by the river of mud. She shared video of her in knee-deep mud and debris as she said a fence had been knocked down and that she was 'devastated' over the damage to her neighbor's home.

Talent agent Scooter Braun, who represents the stars such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, has also been affected by the mudslides.
Braun, who also owns labels School Boy Records and Raymond-Braun Media Group, shared a photo of the rivers of mud and devastation in his neighborhood on Instagram today.
He revealed he still doesn't know what state his property is in, but said the situation in Montecito is 'heartbreaking.'
'4 years ago my wife and I bought our dream home in montecito and hoped to get married there,' he wrote. 'We spent over 2 years slowly restoring our home to what is now our favorite place on earth.
'To see what it is going through now is heartbreaking. We had just made it through the largest fire in California history and now this.
'We still don't know what has become of our home but honestly it is the last thing on our mind. Lives have been destroyed. Family members have been lost. I don't know what we can do yet but where we can help we will. In the meantime our prayers are with all those in Santa Barbara.'

Mudslides slammed into homes, covered highways and swept away vehicles early on Tuesday when more than a half-inch (1.5cm) of rain fell in five minutes, a rate that far exceeds the normal flash flood threshold. Pictured above, an aerial view of Montecito following the mudslide
Rob Lowe has a message for Bella Thorne, who was upset she couldn't make it to her boyfriend's concert because of mudslides putting Montecito, Calif. in grave danger.
At least 17 people have been killed by the natural disaster that swept through the Southern California community earlier this week, which is inhabited by many celebrities including Lowe, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and more. In a since-deleted Twitter post, Thorne expressed frustration over the 101 freeway's closure and its impact on her travel plans: "F--k 101 to santa barbara. I'm missing my boyfriend's first date on his tour :((("
Lowe reposted the actress's tweet on Instagram, commenting, "This attitude is why people hate celebrities/Hollywood. Bella, I'm sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker."
Rob Lowe called out Bella Thorne after the actress tweeted that road closures caused by California’s deadly mudslides were going to make her miss her boyfriend’s concert.
The Code Black star, 53, shared a screenshot of Thorne’s, 20, tweet on Instagram, which read, “F— u 101 to santa barbra [sic]. I’m missing my boyfriends first date on his tour:(((”
Lowe responded, writing, “This attitude is why people hate celebrities/Hollywood. Bella, I’m sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker.”
Thorne deleted her original tweet, but tweeted an apology Thursday, writing, “F— just caught up on some news had no idea why the 101 was shut down…get home to your family safe,” adding a heart emoji.
The mudslides, which hit Tuesday morning, have brought deadly destruction to neighborhoods in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara County, with 17 people – including four children – confirmed dead. The number of missing could be as high as 43, authorities said late Thursday.
Lowe shared that friends of his are among the missing.
“More terrible stories of loss today. Friends missing, some gone forever. Pray for Montecito and know: EVERY day could be your last. Embrace that,” he posted on Instagram.
Many residents have also been left homeless.
While Lowe’s house was not damaged in the deluge, Oprah Winfrey’s was impacted as was Jeff Bridges’ home.
He shared the news on Thursday, tweeting, “Our home has been severely damaged, but we are safe, and so thankful for that and for the first responders who are working tirelessly to save people. We are heartbroken over the loss of lives in our community. Your prayers and best wishes are most appreciated.”

DeGeneres became emotional on Thursday during her talk show when she explained that she and her wife, Portia de Rossi, had been forced to evacuate their home in the area.
“One of the things that I want to talk about is you know, we’ve had these terrible fires all over California and one of the hardest hit areas is where I live in Montecito. We have had mandatory evacuations,” DeGeneres said. “So, we were just able to get back into our house on Dec. 27 and I got back over the holidays and I just drove around. I love that community so much. There were just signs everywhere that said thank you and grateful just everywhere saying thank you to the firefighters and first responders. And it made me so proud to live there. I just love this place.”
Winfrey, 63, FaceTimed DeGeneres as she remained in Montecito (the two are neighbors) and shared a glimpse of ruined streets.
“Where I am now, which is the east side of my property, I was walking down here and all of my neighbors’ homes are gutted. I’m standing right now still in a lot of mud but not as much as yesterday. I walked out back, you know, where we share a fence line and the neighbors out back they’re houses are gone. It’s as devastating as can be,” Oprah said as she was joined by firefighters from the Ventura City County.
