Shane continued: 'I've been like this since i was born and I didn't expect every single person to understand who we are. It's not all about gay rights. Ann doesn't even agree with abortion.'

Amanda then headed into the bedroom where she told Ann: 'I just had a blow up with Shane. I don't like people talking behind the backs of others.

'I said it face to face. I called him out, I'm afraid. But it's not my business to do so and influence others. You can't use gay rights as an excuse dear!'

The fiery war of words began when Shane confided in Malika over Ann's anti LGBT stance.

'We're in a position of privilege and we're celebrated in the public eye. But there are kids at home and she's sending out the wrong message.'

Wayne also joined the conversation and proved to be a little uncomfortable as he revealed: 'We're all in a little show which I adore being in and we can't pick up on her past misdemeanours. She actually makes me laugh.'

'But I didn't know she was opposed to gay weddings,' he tried to see the argument from both sides.

The conversation prompted Wayne to confide in Amanda about Shane's stance: 'I said to him this isn't a soap box for politics.

'I cant have it out with her and I don't know enough about it. Shane's insinuating I haven't done my job. Ann never diverts from what she thinks. I'm not here to go for a cause of some kind. Leave her alone!'

Amanda then revealed: 'Just take people as they are!'

Wayne replied: 'Shane reads into things too much but I do adore him. He has big ambitions and I think he wants to be a representative for the gay world. I don't want to discuss her opinions she's had for 50 years. I don't care what she thinks!'

Amanda quipped back: 'Shes friendly with me and that speaks volumes!'

At the beginning of the episode, Shane took to the diary room, revealing: 'She refuses to call me Courtney. It's kind of disrespectful and doesn't know how much it offends people in my community. Her judgement doesn't affect me, I care what it says to young people.

The housemates were then told to take part in challenge where they had to find buzzers placed through the house and only had 45 seconds to find it after their name got called.

Ashley and Wayne were the first ones to be called to the buzzers and in order to complete their task had to be given ten layers of spray tan.

Stripping down to a bikini, Ashley revealed: ' When I get spray tan I go naked so I don't get tan lines.

Shane L admitted: 'I don't believe in mediation. I can't have someone speak to my psyche like that.'

However, Ann decided to not take part in meditate due to religious grounds, prompting Shane J to confide in Malika: 'Her religion is so fragile that she can't sit in a room with other people and breath though her nose.'

Shane responded: "Well to be fair, in 23 years of parliament, she voted against ever piece of pro-LGBT legislation which is your rights as a human being."

Amanda - who is married to novelist Hilary Bonner - said: "It's not my rights, it doesn't affect me at all. I'm married! What are you talking about?"

Shane J/ Courtney deserves so much better than the treatment shown in the last 48hours. She deserves better than your villain edit, cause she’s the real hero of this damn show! #cbbshanej #cbb — 𝒮. (@untamedlisten3r) January 28, 2018

#cbb 🤔Amanda comes from a time when LGBT+ ppl were just fighting for tolerance, so I get why she's keeping her head low, but to be tolerated isn't enough anymore...it's acceptance that's needed, and that's what @courtneyact 's fighting for. — itsmicjames (@itsmicjames) January 28, 2018

Damn Amanda!! If it wasn’t for people fighting for LGBT Rights YOU WOULDN’T BE IN A CIVIL PARTNERSHIP!!! How can you not see this?! #CBB — Amber Rose Williams (@Amber_Rose07) January 28, 2018

Anyone who can sit there and agree with whatever Amanda is saying is shocking. Gay people fought so long to have gay rights and marriage. For her to sit there and and say ‘forget gay rights’ is disgusting! When it’s the whole reason she was able to get married. Amanda out! #CBB — Amy McNaughton (@Amyy5Mc) January 28, 2018
