22:35: Manchester City have made the League Cup semi-final for the third time in the last five seasons. 22:30: Pep Guardiola is absolutely delighted. He’s running over to the travelling City fans to celebrate with them. Manchester City have won on penalties with Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez missing from the spot. LEICESTER 3-4 MANCHESTER CITY - MAHREZ (MISS) Riyad Mahrez has to score this, otherwise Manchester City will progress. I’ll reset the scoreboard at 0-0 folks. FT: Team huddles going on everywhere folks. Pep is ranting and raving while Claude looks like the captain of the Titanic going down with his ship. LEICESTER 1-1 MANCHESTER CITY FT: We've got penalties folks, don’t move a muscle! 118: Harry Maguire with a barnstorming run! He puts his head down and charges forward. He finds Vardy with a delicate chipped pass, but the striker scuffs the volley. It’s quite some sight watching a centre-back run 60-yards forward after 120 minutes of action.
REUTERS Leicester vs Manchester City LIVE: Latest Carabao Cup scores, goals, news and highlights
115: Mahrez produces a signature moment. He cuts inside onto his left and forces a great save from Claudio Bravo. Seconds later, Leicester have another penalty appeal. Danilo and Vardy collide and they both hit the deck. Could have gone either way in fairness. 112: Close! Iborra is inches away from nodding home Gray’s cross across the six-yard box but he doesn’t connect. 110: Zinchenko steps forward from left-back and rifles a shot narrowly over the bar. Leicester make a change with Benalouane replacing Dragovic. Not the most obvious choice for a penalty taker? 108: Neither side can muster the energy to create anything of note. I’d say we’re heading for spot-kicks folks. 105: We’re back underway folks. Claude Puel looks the most nervous I’ve seen him. I guess he got fired the last time he reached the Carabao Cup final… HT: Pep is so animated on the sidelines it’s scary. He’s wildly gesturing to the fourth official about the penalty in the 96th minute. LEICESTER 1-1 MANCHESTER CITY HT: Very few fingernails left inside the King Power. This is tense. 15 more minutes to find a winner otherwise we’re heading for penalties…

103: Almost a Claudio Bravo special! The goalkeeper tries to be clever with the ball at his feet, but Jamie Vardy closes him down and the rebound dribbles wide. Could easily have been 2-1. 100: Harry Maguire has won just about every attacking header this evening. Still waiting for one on target though as he guides another wide of the post. 97: Walker booked for a dive that Tom Daley would have been proud of. Mahrez then sends a teasing cross into the area but Bravo collects. I’ll say that again. Bravo collects! 96: Kyle Walker spares Adarabioyo’s blushes. The centre-back slipped at the crucial moment and only a covering tackle prevented the tireless Okazaki from plundering home. 93: I guess the questions is does anyone have anything left to give? Both sides have an extra substitute, but Pep and Claude seem to be saving it for a possible penalty shootout. LEICESTER 1-1 MANCHESTER CITY 90: You really can’t say that Leicester didn’t deserve a draw. The players are heading back onto the pitch now, and the King Power is absolutely rocking! ARSENAL 1-0 WEST HAM FT: Arsenal have qualified for the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup. I’ll be switching my focus to events at the King Power now folks. Who knows, maybe we’ll have some festive penalties!
REUTERS Arsenal vs West Ham LIVE: Latest Carabao Cup scores, goals, news and highlights
LEICESTER 1-1 MANCHESTER CITY - VARDY (PEN) 97: Unbelievable scenes as Jamie Vardy equalises for Leicester in the 96th minute! Kyle Walker clumsily brought down Gray and Vardy converted from the spot. FOUR MINUTES ADDED TIME 89: Coquelin looks to have suffered a slight groin injury. He’s replaced Dasilva. Not a great night for injuries. Two and counting. 87: All these changes and injuries have prevented West Ham from building any momentum. No chances to speak of as the game just drifts away. 85: Ospina is back up again after seeing off a precious few minutes. Sheaf comes on for Willock for the hosts. 84: Andy Carroll has claimed another victim. It’s an innocuous looking collision with David Ospina, but the goalkeeper has stayed down clutching his side. Marko Arnautovic replaces Domingos Quina. 81: Nice play from Willock, who tip-toes his way into the area before finding Walcott. The winger can’t shrug off the attentions of Reid and the chances goes begging.
REUTERS Arsenal vs West Ham LIVE: Latest Carabao Cup scores, goals, news and highlights
79: If I was a betting man I’d say that we won’t be seeing the Frenchman until after Christmas. Arsene Wenger opts for Reiss Nelson instead of Eddie Nketiah. Panto villain… 77: Bad news for Arsenal. Olivier Giroud has pulled his hamstring, and it doesn’t look minor. The crowd immediately call for Eddie Nketiah. I can’t blame them. 74: Arsenal are inches from a penalty. Joe Hart flies out to meet a long ball forward, but catches Danny Welbeck instead. It’s JUST outside the area and the goalkeeper is booked. Rice blocks Elneny’s delivery. 71: We’re in danger of having a game on our hands folks. West Ham have a proper spearhead to their attack and have started to commit bodies forward. Even the atmosphere has cranked up a notch! 68: Who had less than 30 seconds in the Andy Carroll foul sweepstake? You’ve won because he’s just clattered into Francis Coquelin. 67: Double change for the Hammers. Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho replace Aaron Cresswell and Javier Hernandez. 66: Chance! Masuaku wins a free-kick 25 yards from goal and Cresswell lines it up, but the defender's effort flashes across goal and wide. West Ham fans chant: "We've had a shot…”
REUTERS Arsenal vs West Ham LIVE: Latest Carabao Cup scores, goals, news and highlights
63: Andy Carroll is warming up for West Ham on the sidelines. He receives some half-hearted boos from the Arsenal fans. The Hammers supporters are furious that Holding hasn’t been booked. The full-back clattered into the onrushing Hernandez, who looked to have a shooting opportunity, but referee Kevin Friend waves play on. Wrongly. 60: Over at the King Power, Claude Puel has sent Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy into the fray. Expect fireworks. 57: The crazy story of the fourth official has been solved folks. A qualified referee, who was sitting in the crowd as a guest, has now been kitted out with all the gear. The other bloke can finally breathe a sigh of relief. I suspect he'll be heading for the bar with a tremendous anecdote now. 54: Very little action to discuss in the early stages of the second half. West Ham are seeing a bit more of the ball but haven’t done much with it. 51: Forget the game, I’m fascinated to see if this rogue fourth official will have to do anything. Oh, and what if the manager’s start shouting at him?! He’s never done the job before!! 48: Some gossip for you. We were four-minutes late to get started because the assistant referee hurt his back. He’s been replaced by an unqualified bloke, who looks terrified that he might have to actually do something. Very strange.

ARSENAL 1-0 WEST HAM 45: We’re also back up and running at the Emirates. No changes for either side. LEICESTER 0-1 MANCHESTER CITY 45: We’re back underway in the game between Leicester and Manchester City at the King Power Stadium. Will Claude Puel throw Jamie Vardy or Riyad Mahrez into the mix soon? HT: Apparently there’s 44,741 people inside the Emirates this evening. Presumably they’re all watching the Leicester match or the Darts in the lavatory… TWITTER ROUND-UP Alan: A really poor spectacle for the neutral - in fact - a really poor spectacle for ANYONE watching. Hopefully things liven up a bit in the second 45. Vic: Well that was a miserable 45 minutes of football, but the scrappy goal certainly lifted the mood. A bit. Daniel: This is seriously one of the worst games I've ever watched. HT: Danny Welbeck has ended a run of 11 games without a goal in the League Cup, netting his first in the competition since October 2009 (vs Barnsley).
REUTERS Arsenal vs West Ham LIVE: Latest Carabao Cup scores, goals, news and highlights
LEICESTER 0-1 MANCHESTER CITY HT: The Foxes trail at the King Power, but they certainly look capable of salvaging something tonight. Manchester City took their foot off the gas after Bernardo Silva’s opener. ARSENAL 1-0 WEST HAM HT: Arsenal ahead at the break, and they probably deserve it on the balance of play because West Ham have shown nothing going forward. Zero levels of ambition from David Moyes’ side, who will now have to be more expansive. 43: Thats the first goal West Ham have conceded in 319 minutes… ARSENAL 1-0 WEST HAM - WELBECK 41: And there’s the breakthrough! I feared it would never come but it’s happened in suitably scrappy fashion. Mathieu Debuchy floats the ball over to Danny Welbeck, who bundles it over the line at the fifth time of asking from inside the six-yard box. 40: Highlight of the first half! Sead Kolasinac cuts in from the left flank before blasting one miles over the bar. I said it was the highlight, not that it was particularly exciting...
REUTERS Arsenal vs West Ham LIVE: Latest Carabao Cup scores, goals, news and highlights
39: Honestly folks, this is abysmal. No efforts on target, one effort off target and more fouls than you can shake a stick at. West Ham finally get up the other end of the pitch, but Cresswell’s free-kick from the left touchline is easily collected by David Ospina. 36: Is Father Christmas taking wishes yet? I will be eternally grateful if he prevents this match from going to extra-time… 33: Arsene Wenger isn’t impressed. He’s flailing his arms around like that ‘Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman’ from Family Guy. Ok, that’s a slight exaggeration. 30: A quality goal like the one just scored at the Etihad wouldn’t go amiss here. In fact, I’d take three completed passes. LEICESTER 0-1 MANCHESTER CITY - BERNARD SILVA 25: It’s been coming folks. Manchester City have taken the lead through Bernardo Silva, who neatly finishes off a devastating counter-attack. 27: Groans from the home fans as Arsenal throw away possession. This is simply awful thus far folks, and that’s putting it nicely. 24: The Hammers are dropping deeper and deeper into their own half as Arsenal pile on the pressure. The ball is squared to Giroud inside the area but his first touch is poor and Ogbonna boots it clear.
REUTERS Arsenal vs West Ham LIVE: Latest Carabao Cup scores, goals, news and highlights
21: Over at the King Power stadium, Manchester City’s weakened side are playing just like the senior team. Dominant. It remains 0-0 but Pep Guardiola’s men look the likelier to open the scoring. 18: Arsenal are raising the tempo ever so slightly. Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck are making a few nice runs between the lines but they’ve not been able to cause any significant problems. 15: There’s a brief decibel rise as Arsenal win themselves a corner, but the delivery fails to beat the first man and West Ham are able to clear. I know it’s not all about ME, but I would say that I’m missing the staff Christmas party for this, lads. So make it worth my while! 12: The Olivier Giroud offside tally has reached three. Quite impressive really, and it’s pretty much the only entertainment we’ve had all evening. 9: Standard “Is this a library” chants coming from the away fans. That usually provokes a response from the home side, but nothing here. Silence. 6: Very impressive turnout from the West Ham supporters. 7,000 are inside the Emirates, and they’re the only ones who can be heard. 3: Not many chances to speak of in the opening stages folks. There might have been if Olivier Giroud didn’t continuously ignore the offside rule!

PEP SPEAKS 19:40: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: “We want to try to win. You cannot play four competitions with the same guys, it only happens in England, so we have to play with all the team. "Every training session, every game when you are 17 is a chance to improve. The young players play at a high, high level against experienced players like Vicente Iborra, Andy King, and Shinji Okazaki so it is a good chance for them. "I said nothing special to Phil Foden, play like he knows to play and follow what he has to do offensively and defensively." TWITTER ROUND-UP Celery: What possible reason could there be for Leicester not to play their strongest side tonight? Weak-minded club. Hope they get beaten tonight, or at least have those stupid clappers taken off them. James: Strong enough Arsenal team but why not put some strength on the bench? Might be all we have a chance of winning this year! MDH: Leicester put out a weaker team against a weakened Manchester City team?! The Foxes can win this and make our way to Europe!!! CONFIDENT MOYES… 19:30: West Ham manager David Moyes believes he is good enough to manage any team in the world… No laughing! Moyes has set about repairing his reputation by helping the London side regroup after a poor start to the season. The Hammers are unbeaten in three games going into Saturday's league clash with Newcastle. "I think I'm capable of doing the job at any club in the world so I'm sure I can do it at West Ham. I have to come here and show I can do it. You have to come and show what you can do. Your reputation doesn't stand for anything," Moyes said. NO LANZINI 19:25: I feel like this is going to open up another can of worms (do people still use that expression?) but there’s a very good reason why Manuel Lanzini is absent tonight. The West Ham midfielder has been given a two-game ban after being found guilty of diving to win a penalty against Stoke on Saturday. Everton striker Oumar Niasse was banned for two games following a similar incident against Crystal Palace last month. But was it a dive?! Let me know without using any naughty words please folks, unless you want me to use a dreaded aster**k!

SMALLEST VIOLIN… 19:20: Tonight is the annual staff Christmas party folks. And while most of my colleagues are doing things they’ll heavily regret tomorrow morning - I’m sipping water and trying to transcribe Claude Puel’s insanely quiet pre-match interview. I’m going to head over after these games finish - so under no circumstances can there be penalties tonight! TEAM NEWS - MANCHESTER CITY 19:15: Nine changes for the Pep-meister. A nickname I’ve coined that will certainly never stick! Eliaquim Mangala and Ilkay Gundogan are the only survivors from Saturday’s emphatic win over Tottenham. Claudio Bravo, Danilo, Tosin Adarabioyo, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Phil Foden, Yaya Toure, Brahim Diaz, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus make the starting XI. Ederson, Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, Fabian Delph, Kevin de Bruyne, Fernandinho, Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane are rested.

You’ve probably guessed that Arsene Wenger has made 11 changes from the side who laboured to victory over Newcastle on Saturday. GETTY Arsenal vs West Ham LIVE: Latest Carabao Cup scores, goals, news and highlights
Manchester City required penalties to reach the Carabao Cup semi finals on Tuesday night after Claudio Bravo's decisive save ensured they joined Arsenal in the final four.
Pep Guardiola's side were leading until deep into the eight minutes of stoppage time awarded before Jamie Vardy converted a controversially-awarded penalty.
City had too much in the shootout as they kept up their quest for a quadruple. Here Sportsmail take a look at some of things you may have missed beyond the obvious...
Pep's anger at the officials
Pep Guardiola charged onto the pitch to complain at referee Bobby Madley
The Spaniard was enraged at the awarding of a penalty in the seventh minute of added time
Guardiola was annoyed at an apparent dive by Demarai Gray to win a late penalty
Eight minutes of stoppage time were played at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night
Guardiola made clear his frustration at the amount of added time at the end of the second half
The Spaniard gesticulated wildly and asked the fourth official if he wanted to add more time on
Pep Guardiola has made it a habit of his in recent weeks to march onto the pitch at the final whistle and gesticulate wildly.
Recently it was Southampton winger Nathan Redmond who bore the brunt of the animated Manchester City manager.
On Tuesday it was referee Bobby Madley who the Spaniard made a beeline for at full time.
Pep's reaction to the 8 minutes stoppage time.
97th minute Vardy scores the penalty 🤣 #LEIMCI pic.twitter.com/dsWnxaUpgr — Kyri Demetriou (@Kyri_D) December 19, 2017
But you don't imagine he was telling the referee how good he is at officiating and how he did brilliantly to let the game flow.
Judging by the look in his eye and the wagging finger, it's unlikely. And when you see the replay of Demarai Gray hitting the floor under Kyle Walker's challenge in second-half stoppage time, you'd be inclined to agree.
Jamie Vardy's equaliser from the spot angered Guardiola even further, after he had sarcastically asked the fourth official to add more than the eight minutes of stoppage time that was awarded.
Guardiola orchestrates the celebrations in the stands

Guardiola's sour mood soon changed when Claudio Bravo saved from Riyad Mahrez and sent City into the last four of the Carabao Cup.
This time he charged onto the pitch in a much less vindictive manner, running over to embrace his players one by one.
But he saved his best for the traveling fans, attempt to orchestrate their celebrations in the stands as City's run in the competiton went on.
Pitch invader makes a beeline for Pep
A pitch invader made a beeline for Pep Guardiola during the second-half at Leicester
The Spaniard looked unimpressed as the intruder was escorted away from the touchline
It was certainly a busy night for Guardiola on the touchline as he watched his young side book their place in the semi finals.
The City boss was his usual animated self, and clearly that got a bit too much for one supporter who decided to run down to his technical area.
As he stood just a few paces away from the Spaniard, he was wrestled to the ground by two members of security.
Guardiola looked a tad unimpressed, and perhaps mystified by the pitch invader's intentions, as he was escorted out of the technical area.
Mascots put rivalry behind them at the Emirates
West Ham's mascot made the inexplicable trip to north London for the clash with Arsenal
Clubs often take a large contingent with them when they travel away from home - ranging from players to backroom staff and everything in between.
But it was somewhat surprising to see West Ham's mascot as part of the travelling party in north London on Tuesday night.
Hammerhead posed for a picture with Arsenal's very own Gunnersaurus ahead of the match at the Emirates Stadium.
And the Arsenal mascot even took to Twitter to share the post with his followers, calling the West Ham man his 'new friend'.
Plenty of empty seats at the Emirates
The attendance at the Emirates Stadium was just 44,741 due to crowd safety rules
Despite the prospect of a London derby in the quarter-final of a cup competition, the Emirates was far from full on Tuesday night.
Only 44,741 turned up to watch Arsenal host West Ham. But it was nothing to do with the crowded Christmas schedule or general disinterest in the Carabao Cup.
In fact it was crowd safety rules which prevented tickets going on general sale for the match. Islington Council imposed a limit following crowd trouble during the Europa League clash with Cologne in September.
The Carabao Cup was not included in the season ticket package, meaning holders had to purchase tickets. The official attendance, therefore, came in at 44,741 - instead of the usual tally near the 60,000 mark.
Kyle Walker and Leroy Sane battle over a hot water bottle
Kyle Walker approaches the Manchester City bench armed with a hot water bottle
Leroy Sane jokingly fought over the warming appliance with his City team-mate
Walker was having none of it and kept the hot water bottle to himself on the bench
Michy Batshuayi made headlines earlier this month when he kept himself warm on the bench by holding a hot water bottle next to his face.
The Belgian took a bit of stick as he fought the freezing temperatures during Chelsea's defeat by West Ham at the London Stadium.
On Tuesday night it was the turn of Kyle Walker to take centre stage as he battled the chilly conditions in the midlands.
And as he walked up to the away bench at the King Power Stadium, Leroy Sane looked more than a little jealous of his team-mate's quick thinking.
As Walker went to take his seat, Sane jokingly tried to take the warming appliance out his hands. The England man was having none of it. At least Sane took it in good humour.
Welbeck ends League Cup drought
Danny Welbeck ended his eight-year League Cup drought with Arsenal's winner on Tuesday
It's been a quiet season for Danny Welbeck, with first-team chances at a premium.
Arsene Wenger has used the Europa League and the Carabao Cup to field a shadow side, giving his first eleven the chance to be fresher for Premier League fixtures.
Welbeck has been one of those to see opportunities at a premium, but he grabbed it with both hands on Tuesday night to send Arsenal into the semi-finals.
His first-half goal was actually his first in the League Cup for eight years - since October 2009, when he scored for Manchester United against Barnsley.
His winning strike ended a run of 11 games without a goal in the competition.
The big clubs ring the changes - even Leicester!
Leicester made seven changes and rested both Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy
With the festive fixture pile-up in full swing as we approach Christmas, it was the Carabao Cup which bore the brunt.
All four Premier League sides in action on Tuesday night rang the changes amid the busiest time of the football calendar.
NUMBER OF CHANGES Arsenal – 11 Manchester City – 9 Leicester - 7 West Ham – 6
And though it was understandable for Arsenal, who made 11 changes as they chase bigger priorities - with Liverpool at home awaiting them on Friday - and Manchester City, who made nine, for West Ham and Leicester it was a little puzzling.
David Moyes made six changes as he took his rejuvenated side to the Emirates Stadium, while Claude Puel made seven alterations to his Leicester side.
With the Foxes safely ensconced in the top-half of the Premier League and secure in their position, it puzzled many - inclduing Gary Lineker - to see the Frenchman abandon his best chance of bringing silverware back to the midlands.
That Pep Guardiola had made nine changes to his starting lineup further underlined how curious a selection it was, with the second-half introductions of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez pivotal in taking the game to extra time.
