SUKABUMIUPDATE.com - Perayaan pergantian tahun baru di Kota Sukabumi tidak se-ramai tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Pantauan sukabumiupdate.com , di sekitaran pusat Kota Sukabumi, banyak orang berkumpul di Lapang Merdeka untuk merayakan pergantian tahun.
Bedanya tahun ini, tak ada pesta dan hiburan yang bersifat hura-hura untuk memperingati pergantian tahun menuju 2019. Bisa jadi karena suasana Indonesia sedang berduka dengan adanya beragam bencana, terkini tsunami selat sunda dan longsor Cisolok.
Pemerintah Kota Sukabumi sendiri mengeluarka himbauan khusus untuk perayaan tahun baru 2019 ini. Pointernya tidak menggelar acara yang bersifat hura-hura. Masyarakat dihimbau untuk memanfaatkan malam pergantian tahun ini untuk berdoa.
Hujan yang turun cukup deras, juga membuat suasana malam tahun baru di Kota Sukabumi tidak terlalu padat. Jalanan terpantau ramai dan lancar dikarenakan akses masuk ke pusat kota dari luar baik dari arah Cianjur - maupun Bogor dialihkan ke Jalur Lingkar Selatan.
Jelang pergantian tahun, suasana malam diramaikan dengan ledakan dan percikan kembang api dari berbagai sudut kota, khusus di Lapang Merdeka. Namun skalanya tidak terlalu besar seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, hanya berlangsung sekitar 30 menit, itupun dengan jumlah kembang api yang meluncur sangat terbatas.

Mulai pukul 01.00 WIB, masuk Januari 2019, massa yang memadati Lapang Merdeka mulai bubar dan kembali ke rumahnya masing-masing. Sebelumnya, Wali Kota Sukabumi, Achmad Fahmi, mengatakan, perayaan tahun baru 2019 ini berbeda dari tahun baru sebelumnya, Pemda mengimbau kepada warga untuk merayakan pergantian tahun baru dengan kegiatan keagamaan.

Tepat pukul 00.00 Wita, bunyi sirine mobil Dinas Pemadaman Kebakaran (Damkar) Makassar, menandakan pergantian tahun dari 2018 menuju 2019.
Langit Kota Makassar, mendadak terang. Itu setelah bermacam-macam kembang api dinyalakan sebagai tanda pergantian tahun.
Ribuan warga Kota Makassar maupun yang berasal dari luar pun, ramai-ramai bersorak menyambut momen setahun sekali itu.
Raut bahagia terpancar dari wajah anak-anak hingga orang dewasa.
Bedasarkan pantauan Rakyatku.com, saat ini ribuan warga perlahan-lahan mulai membubarkan diri dan meninggalkan kawasan anjungan Pantai Losari. Namun beberapa di antara mereka masih bertahan berfoto-foto.

The UK is gearing up to welcome in the New Year as the countdown to 2019 begins.
Fireworks will be going off on the stroke of midnight across the land as thousands celebrate.
In London, Big Ben will spring back into action with its customary bongs to mark the moment, as 100,000 people are expected on the banks of the Thames.
In Edinburgh, Franz Ferdinand will headline a concert for Hogmany, with 60,000 tickets sold.
Cardiff will see crowds gather in the city's Winter Wonderland outside the Civic Centre for fireworks and music, while in Belfast, City Hall will be illuminated in a raft of colours for the event.
London's sold-out party will celebrate the capital's bond with Europe, according to the city's mayor.
Sadiq Khan said the event would send a message of support to the more than one million European citizens living in London.
Scotland's Hogmanay events have already kicked off with pipe, drum and dance bands leading the annual Torchlight Procession through Edinburgh.
Aberdeen, Inverness and Stirling are among the other places throwing big New Year shindigs.

Meanwhile, cities around the world have already been enjoying sparkling events for the start of 2019.
Islands in the Pacific were the first to mark the occasion, ahead of New Zealand and then Australia - where a massive fireworks display lit up Sydney Harbour Bridge for spectators on boats.
And the midnight mark has continued to work its way around the world, with celebrations in both North and South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Russia and India.
