MARYLAND – Tim Nasional (Timnas) Brasil tampil luar biasa di laga uji coba internasional yang berlangsung di FedEX Field, Maryland, Amerika Serikat (AS), Rabu (12/9/2018) pagi WIB. Setelah mengalahkan AS 2-0 akhir pekan lalu, Canarinha –julukan Brasil– menundukkan El Salvador 5-0.
Pelatih Timnas Brasil, Tite, seperti biasa mengandalkan formasi 4-2-3-1. Akan tetapi, Tite mengandalkan muka-muka baru yang sebelumnya tidak membela Brasil di Piala Dunia 2018. Mereka ialah Norberto Neto (penjaga gawang), Eder Militao ( fullback kanan), dede (bek tengah), Arthur (gelandang) dan Richarlison (penyerang).

Kehadiran muka-muka baru di atas nyatanya tidak menurunkan kualitas Brasil. Terbukti, Brasil sanggup mendikte permainan El Salvador. Pertandingan baru berjalan empat menit, Brasil sudah membuka keunggulan lewat penalti Neymar Jr.
Penalti diberikan setelah Richarlison dijatuhkan pemain belakang El Salvador, Dominguez Fuentes. Skor berubah 1-0 untuk keunggulan Brasil. Kemudian pada menit 16, Brasil menggandakan keunggulan, kali ini lewat Richarlison usai memanfaatkan umpan Neymar.
