Nicki Minaj ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels accuses her of stabbing him

The New York rapper responded by saying Samuels was lying, and alleging he stole her credit card, which he denies

Nicki Minaj has been accused by her ex-partner Safaree Samuels of stabbing him in a domestic abuse incident.

Samuels wrote on Twitter: “Remember the night you cut me and I almost died the police and ambulance had to take me out the crib on a stretcher. I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself so they wouldn’t take you to jail. When things like that start happening more than once it’s time to dip.” He isn’t pressing charges over the alleged incident, adding: “You know what I still don’t have no hate for you cuz I’m happy in my own mind now.”

Minaj responded on Twitter, and accused Samuels of lying, though didn’t specifically address the domestic violence allegation. “U stole my card & told me you thought it was an account with ‘free money’ that I didn’t know about,” she wrote. “God will strike you down & more for lying. Ha! Stop saying u packed & left!”

The rapper, whose newly released fourth album Queen could top the US charts this week, had previously accused Samuels of stealing her credit cards, and of paying for prostitutes during their relationship, in an interview with radio station Hot 97. Samuels denied both accusations on Twitter.

She also said Samuels wrongly claimed he had written some of Minaj’s material, saying: “You don’t know the fucked up shit he did to me. It don’t give you a right to lie about someone’s craft just because you know that they’re a woman and people will believe you.” Samuels responded on Twitter, saying: “How many times have I said I never wrote ur raps? Nobody even talks about that anymore.”

Minaj was criticised recently for sending verbally abusive Twitter messages to a woman who criticised her music. Others have questioned her collaboration with fellow New York rapper 6ix9ine, who was found guilty in 2015 of “using a child in a sexual performance” after being filmed having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl – he could be jailed for the incident, following separate accusations that violate the terms of his plea deal.

Minaj, whose real name is Onika Maraj, is one of the most successful rappers in the US, and holds the record for the most Hot 100 chart hits by a solo female artist, with 93 appearances.

Set to the track of Notorious B.I.G.’s “Just Playing (Dreams),” Nicki viciously goes for the jugular of some of the most prominent male artists in the game.

And Nicki is keeping that same energy it appears, when it comes to her ex, Safaree, with whom she has not been on the best of terms, to put it mildly. Nicki didn’t deign to mention her ex on the song but took the time in an interview with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex to get some more things off her chest.

Nicki blasted Safaree, once again, for implying that he wrote some of her songs before they broke up, an implication that seemed believable due to the history of men in hip-hop writing verses for the women in their groups—an implication the rapper clearly didn’t like as she obviously takes pride in writing her own music.

“He manipulated the world because of that prior information. The world knowing that other big female MCs have gotten people to write for them, he knew by saying that it wouldn’t be a stretch,” Nicki ripped. “The only reason he did that was because he was hurting inside because he shitted on me and finally got shitted on.”

Nicki aired up all the dirty laundry, detailing the Love & Hip Hop star paying for prostitutes while they were in a relationship, stealing her credit card and refusing to work. She blasted Safaree for acting out of “weakness, passive aggression, hatefulness and vindictiveness.”

“Because you got caught shitting on a person that was taking care of you for years and years, because you got caught shitting on a person who was taking care of you while you were paying for prostitutes, and stealing their credit cards and doing all types of dumbass shit?” the Queen ranted before bursting into chuckles at Funk’s insistence to hold up just a gat damn second because whew, chile, the tea is scalding.

And if you thought it ended there boy are you ever so wrong. Snuggle up in your blankets and get yourself a digestive biscuit to go with that tea, because the battle quickly spilled onto Twitter with Safaree getting froggy and lashing back.

The TV personality and rapper took to Twitter, calling their relationship toxic and accusing Nicki of cutting him, resulting in him being hospitalized. He said that he had claimed to try to kill himself at the time, to avoid Nicki being jailed.

Perhaps those accusations are not as shocking to fans of Nicki. In her 2014 song, “Bed of Lies,” from the album The Pinkprint, Nicki rapped, “I could tell you lying, get the fuck out, don’t yell at me/I ain’t mean to cut you, I ain’t wanna catch a felony.”

Of course, it is not clear if the rapper was even speaking from a place of truth or if this was even about Safaree.

Whatever it is, Nicki is tired of these men speaking over her, and went back to Twitter herself, gathering all the receipts up, telling Safaree to stop lying and to apologize and shut the fuck up. What’s more, Nicki apparently intends to continue the feud on Queen Radio on Thursday.

She also aired out Safaree, exposing him and his surgery to readjust his hairline, something she apparently also paid for with a hefty “10 racks.”

Whew, the drama. Like I said earlier, Nicki is FED UP and is not going down without a fight.

Nicki Minaj and ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels are beefing on Twitter, and it's getting intense.

Minaj might not have called out Samuels in her new song "Barbie Dreams," but she didn't hesitate to make accusations against him in a series of tweets on Tuesday.

The two never name each other in their tweets, but they seem to respond back and forth to the other throughout all the tweets. The two began their relationship in 2000, but they called it quits in 2014.

Assault and theft claims

Samuels' most serious allegation in the tweet storm was that Minaj assaulted him during an altercation. "Remember the night you cut me and I almost died," he tweeted. "The police and ambulance had to take me out the crib on a stretcher and I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself so they wouldn't take you to jail. Minaj wasn't having it, accusing Samuels of theft.

Samuels denied stealing her credit card, and told her to let it go and denying in a NSFW tweet that he used her credit card to hire prostitutes. He also denied that he'd begged to go to Europe with her, claiming she was in a "full blown relationship (with rapper Meek Mill) towards the end of ours."

It seemed like Samuels wanted to end things on a positive note, tweeting, "You know what I still don't have no hate for you cuz I'm happy in my own mind now. Enjoy your album dropping."

However, it didn't end there.

Minaj responded with a dig that she and a friend had "a bet that soon as you knew Meek was bout to come home (you would) crawl back & ya did!"

Hairline snub

Minaj also took another jab, alleging that she funded Samuels' new hairline, for which she expressed buyer's remorse. "It fell back out cuz God don’t like ugly," she tweeted. "You used me but God had other plans!"

When radio host and TV personality Charlamagne Tha God tweeted at Minaj asking for details about the hairline payment, she said she shelled out $10,000.

Even rapper Tyga got dragged into the feud, with Nicki alleging that Tyga went to the same doctor for his hairline procedure and that his hair didn’t fall out. Samuels refuted her claim, saying that they didn’t go to the same doctor but that they did go on the same day.

Tyga even commented on the hairy situation, referring to himself as the plug. He tweeted: "Tellem Tyga sent u," along with a picture of his alleged doctor.

Twitter gets involved

Maury Povich got in on the action, tweeting: "You are making me dizzy with all this back and forth. The only way you are going to solve this beef is to let me hook you up to my lie detector test."

Some on Twitter tweeted about Minaj and Samuels' "toxic relationship."

One Twitter user called out Minaj and the double standards when it comes to abuse: "If Nicki did abuse Safaree then give her the same energy we gave Chris Brown because abuse is abuse regardless of the gender of the abuser and the only way we make a difference is if we start to call out ALL abusers."

Nicki Minaj has embarked on a loaded media tour in support of her Queen album all across New York City. On Monday (Aug. 13), she stopped by Hot 97 to squash her beef and chop it up for over an hour with Funkmaster Flex. While they talked about her new album, her ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels' name was thrown into the mix in connection with ghost-writing claims as Minaj dissected their troubled relationship. The turmoil has since spilled over to Twitter, as Minaj and Samuels have now aired out one another through numerous messy claims.

The Queens native went after her former lover for allegedly stealing a credit card that she claimed he used for prostitutes. "U stole my card & told me you thought it was an account with 'free money' that I didn’t know about," she wrote. "On God. God will strike you down & more for lying. Ha! Stop saying u packed & left ! On Jesus u came to my house CRYING BEGGING to go w|me to Europe to the EMA’s. I said NO DUMMY."

Safaree denied any wrongdoing with Nicki's credit cards when they were together. "And now I stole your card? The 1 you gave me he pin for and had me doing ish with," he questioned.

Samuels continued to unload with a wild story regarding a night he was allegedly stabbed by Nicki and had to lie about the incident to police.
