Drake’s Son Revealed in New Photos

Drake’s fifth studio album Scorpion arrived on Friday, and naturally, several stunning Drake revelations came along with it. After taking you through the 12 most ‘Drake’ lyrics on the album, we thought we’d dive in deeper to share all the new information we’ve learned about the Toronto rapper.

From his formerly secret son to his love affairs and feuds, here’s everything we learned from Drake’s Scorpion.

He does indeed have a secret son.

With the most memed line from the entire album, “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid” (from “Emotionless”), Drake finally admits to the secret son Pusha-T originally alluded to on his savage diss track “The Story of Adidon.” While Pusha proclaimed that Drake was neglecting his son, he refutes it with “The only deadbeats is whatever beats I been rappin’ to / Never a matter of could I or should I / Kiss my son on his forehead and kiss your ass good-bye / As luck would have it I’m settled into my role as the good guy” on “8 Out of 10.”

Scorpion‘s closing track “March 14” is a treasure trove of admissions. Essentially addressed to his son, he discusses co-parenting despite his strained relationship with alleged mother Sophie Brussaux, and says he’s only met his child twice. According to the song, his son was born on October 11. Check out the most notable lines from the song below.

“Yesterday morning was crazy / I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe / That shit is in stone, sealed and signed / She not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine / Sandi [his mother] used to tell me all it takes is one time, and all it took was one time / Shit, we only met two times, two times / And both times were nothing like the new times / Now it’s rough times / I’m out here on front lines just trying to make sure that I see him sometimes / It’s breaking my spirit.”

“Single father, I hate when I hear it / I used to challenge my parents on every album / Now I’m embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent / Always promised the family unit / I wanted it to be different because I’ve been through it / But this is the harsh truth now.”

“This the first positive DNA we ever celebrated / I can’t forget the looks on they faces / Got the news in Miami that we all now got ones that we raisin’ / Tell Jello bring some, uh, Rosé and Baccarat out for our cheers to the next generation / But this champagne toast is short-lived / I got an empty crib in my empty crib / I only met you one time, introduced you to Saint Nick / I think he must’ve brought you like twenty gifts.”

“October baby for irony sake, of course / I got this 11 tatted for somebody, now it’s yours / And believe me, I can’t wait to get a hunnid more / Sorry I’m vintage, tryna cover ground / They said that in two weeks you’re supposed to come in town / Hopefully by the time you hear this me and your mother will have come around instead of always cutting each other down.”

He explains why he hasn’t responded to Pusha-T.

After Pusha-T dropped his savage diss track “The Story of Adidon,” many were expecting Drake to clap back immediately. However, J. Prince apparently told Drake to hold off on releasing an “overwhelming” song aimed at the DAYTONA rapper. It seems he was saving his rap beef energy for the album, as there are a few jabs at Pusha peppered throughout Scorpion.

On opening track “Survival” he raps, “I’ve seen this movie a hundred times, I know where it’s headed / Realize someone gotta die when no one will dead it / N*ggas gambling with their life for some content / That’s the type of lottery that could get your top picked.” It seems he didn’t want the feud between he and Pusha-T to go too far.

He also brushes off the shots Pusha fired at him on “Peak”: “What you thought of me never had me missing a beat / That’s just a view from a cheap seat / They don’t want problems with me / Talk used to be cheap, nowadays it’s free / People are only as tough as they phones allow them to be.”

Finally, he dishes out a subliminal jab at his rivals on “Is There More” with, “I mean you know I love a challenge, but challenged by who?”

He might be referring to Rihanna on “Summer Games.”

Some are speculating that “Summer Games” on the second half of the album is about Rihanna. Referring to a short-lived relationship that began and died all in one summer, Genius points out that the two collaborated on “Too Good” from Drake’s 2016 album Views, which appears before the “summer” part of the album is over, perhaps giving a hidden indication that the last time Rihanna and Drake got together was for a summer fling.

He probably dated Bella Hadid last year.

Rumours circulated that the Toronto rapper had a fling with supermodel Bella Hadid, which apparently ended with him ghosting her. He raps, “My house is full of supermodels just like Mohammed Hadid,” on “Sandra’s Rose,” referring to her father. On “Finesse” he says, “I want my baby to have your eyes, I’m going against my own advice / Should I do New York? I can’t decide / Fashion week is more your thing than mine.” Bella has indeed got a nice set of eyes, and has of course made many appearances at New York Fashion Week. In case he didn’t make it crystal clear, he also drops the lines “You stay on my mind / You and your sister too hot to handle,” referring to Bella’s sister Gigi Hadid.

Drake says he’s on the same level as Adele.

On “Blue Tint,” Drake boasts that he’s untouchable due to his chart-topping success. “Every title doing numbers like I’m Miss Adele,” he raps on “Sandra’s Rose,” then “Double my price again / Top the charts, back in they hearts / N*gga he strikes again, woah” on “Blue Tint.”

We’ll have to see if Drake can beat Adele’s single-week sales record for 25. So far, Scorpion holds the record for the most single day album streams.

He might be an independent artist now.

While the terms of his Young Money / Cash Money Records contract have never been clear, Drake implies that he’s fulfilled his obligations with the label, rapping, “Soon as this album drops, I’m outta the deal” on “Is There More.” In addition, he raps “I’m pretty sure we got a label, I’m still independent” on “Survival,” referring to his own OVO imprint.

Drake and JAY-Z are friends again.

After famously leaving Kanye West and JAY-Z’s verses off a Views track and having his fair share of tiff with the 4:44 rapper, Drake invited JAY-Z for a feature on “Talk Up.” On his verse, he manages to reference XXXTentacion’s recent death and his disdain for the current U.S. president: “I got your president tweeting / I won’t even meet with him / Y’all killed X and let Zimmerman live / Streets is done.”

Drake and Kanye West aren’t cool, however.

In the aftermath of his feud with Pusha-T, Drake still seems to be harboring resentment for Pusha’s G.O.O.D. Music labelmate Kanye West. Despite heading to Wyoming to help West write “Yikes” on his recent ye album, he mocks him for his antics and the whole seven song shtick on “8 Out of 10,” saying “All sevens, no sixes” and “Rest easy get some shut eye / Hold on, hold on / But I miss making ‘em pay,” meaning he’ll tolerate the mountain side trip if there’s a check involved.

In case you missed it, Kanye West took a shot at Drake on “No Mistakes” with “Too close to snipe you, truth told, I like you / Too bold to type you, too rich to fight you / Calm down, you light skin!” Drake replies on two tracks – referencing West’s ye‘s opening track “I Thought About Killing You” on “8 Out of 10” – “Too rich for who? Y’all just got rich again / Who grips the mic and likes to kill they friends?” and on “Nonstop” where he raps “Yeah I’m light skinned but I’m still a dark n*gga.”

Drake definitely got punched by Diddy.

Drake has finally admitted to getting punched by Diddy, which was well-documented when it all went down in 2014 at Art Basel Miami. It was apparently about the “0 to 100” beat, and on “Survival” he points to his beefs with both Meek Mill and Diddy: “I’ve had real Philly n*ggas try to write my ending / I’ve had scuffles with Bad Boys that wasn’t pretending.”

Drake confirmed he has a son on 'Scorpion' - but what is his name?

Drake confirmed the ongoing rumours claiming he has a 'secret' son on his new album 'Scorpion'.

On the song ‘Emotionless’, the Canadian rapper put the long-standing speculation to bed before revealing the reason why he kept his son away from the spotlight.

The child's mother is Sophie Brussaux, a former actress, was first linked with the OVO hitmaker in January 2017 after the couple were photographed on a dinner date together in Amsterdam.

Fans were shocked by Drake's surprise admission, and quickly took to social media to share their reactions. Some even speculated on the full name of the child.

Drake's son's name is Adonis Mahbed Graham. So when he said "I only love Mahbed and my momma I'm sorry" He really does loves his son 😱😱😱😱😱 pic.twitter.com/A2HAaOd7uW — Things Drake Do (@ThingsDrakeDo) July 1, 2018

Drake son’s name is Mahbed which is Romanian and means “Chosen One”.

So when he said:

“I Only Love “My Bed” & My Momma I’m Sorry”

He was referring to his son. 😱 pic.twitter.com/wy3tM2zXWz — Nick Banks (@RealMrBankshot) July 1, 2018

At the height of their beef, Pusha T slammed Drake for keeping his child a secret in his diss track 'The Story Of Adidon' - during which, he supposedly revealed the name of Drake's son.

"Adonis is your son, and he deserves more than an Adidas press run," he spat, although Drake is yet to confirm whether 'Adonis' is actually the name of his son.

The name 'Adonis' derives from Greek mythology. It means 'lord' and is synonymous with masculine beauty.

He is also yet to address whether or not the child's middle name is 'Mahbed' following fan theories.

On his new song 'March 14', the rapper talks about his son as well as his rocky relationship with Brussaux. He revealed he's only met her twice, and their child once.

Drake may be hiding the world from his son, but the world is getting a first look at his baby boy.

After confirming paternity rumors on his new album Scorpion, alleged photos of the child have surfaced, reportedly taken shortly after Sophie Brussaux gave birth. The mother is seen wearing a hospital bracelet and kissing her baby in one of the tagged Instagram pics, which was uncovered by Gossip in the City (via DJ Akademiks).

Drake addresses his son, reportedly named Adonis, on two tracks off Scorpion. “Yesterday morning was crazy,” he raps on the closer “March 14.” “I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe / That shit’s in stone, sealed and signed / She not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine.”

According to Drake, he only met his son once on Christmas Day. “I only met you one time, introduced you to St. Nick,” he raps. “I think he must have brought you like 20 gifts.”

The Mariah Carey-sampled “Emotionless” also makes reference to fatherhood. “I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world / I was hidin’ the world from my kid,” raps Drake.

Despite alluding to a tumultuous relationship with the mother (“Hopefully, by the time you hear this, me and your mother will have come around”), Drake has reportedly been financially supporting Adonis and Brussaux.

Last week, on June 29th, Drake dropped his latest album, Scorpion. Aside from providing fans with 25 new tracks, the album also confirmed rumors that the rapper has a son. Now, Twitter is trying to figure out Drake’s son’s full name (because of course), and you might want to sit down for this current theory.

To recap, fans first began speculating that Drake had a child after Pusha T released the diss track, “The Story of Adidon.” In the song, Pusha raps about Drake, singing: “You are hiding a child/Let that boy come home.” And two songs from Scorpion appear to address the situation. In “Emotionless,” Drake declares, “I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world/I was hidin’ the world from my kid.” In “March 14,” he made his confirmation even clearer with a coy reference to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” singing, “She’s not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine.”

Fans immediately began digging, and many are confident that Drake’s son’s first name is Adonis, based on a now-deleted Instagram pic from the child’s mother, Sophie Brussaux.

However, others have a different theory.

Some Twitter users suggested the child’s name has been hiding in plain sight the whole time. In his song “God’s Plan,” (which dropped as a single earlier this year), Drake raps, “I only love my bed and my momma, I’m sorry.”

This has lead some to speculate that Drake’s son is named “Mahbed,” which sounds exactly like, “my bed” and means “Chosen One” in Romanian. MINDS: BLOWN.

I only love “My Bed” and my momma I’m sorry...

Drake’s son’s name is Mahbed = Romanian for “chosen one”

He been telling the truth😳😳😳 — SPiKE🎭 (@SPiKEforeal) July 1, 2018

Drake’s son name is MAHBED so when he said “I only love my bed and my mama i’m sorry” he was really saying ... “I only love MAHBED and my mama i’m sorry” Goodnight, hope u get some sleep (: — brianna jataun yon (@BriYonJ) July 2, 2018

Others proposed that the baby’s middle name is Mahbed while his first name is Adonis.

Drake’s son’s name is Adonis Mahbed so in God’s Plan when he said “I only love my bed & my momma” he actually said “I only love Mahbed & my momma” I’m shook bye — ⓠⓤⓔⓔⓝ ⓟⓞⓘ✨ (@kayraddddd) July 2, 2018

I was today years old when I figured out that Drake’s son’s name is Adonis Mahbed Graham so when he says “I only love Mahbed and mama I’m sorry” he’s talking about his son not a bed. pic.twitter.com/JfcnJSbLUN — RogueFracture (@Jorge_Karatekid) July 2, 2018

Reading that both, Drake’s son’s name is “Adonis Mahbed Graham” & he said “I only love my bed (mahbed) and my mama” is honestly the reason I can’t sleep right now. I’m shook — Kenyon Dixon (@kennygotsoul) July 2, 2018

Drake has yet to comment on any of this, and since it seems he (understandably) wants to protect his son’t privacy at this time, we don’t expect him to confirm his son’s name any time soon. We’ll just busy ourselves with listening to Scorpion on repeat instead.
