A white woman has been booed at a Kendrick Lamar gig for singing the N-word on stage.
The rapper invited the woman, who identified herself only as "Delaney", to sing M.A.A.D City during his set at the Hangout Festival in Alabama.
But Kendrick stopped her after she repeatedly used the N-word - which is heard multiple times in his song.
As the crowd reacted angrily, Kendrick told her: "You gotta bleep one single word."
She appeared not to realise why she had been stopped, and asked: "Am I not cool enough for you, bro?"
The crowd in Gulf Shores, Alabama started booing on hearing the woman sing the racial slur.
She apologised, saying: "Oh I'm sorry, did I do it?"
Kendrick then asked the audience if she should be given another try - and despite many shouting "No!", Kendrick allowed her a second run at the song.

Twitter user @alsostephenking said that Kendrick had been looking for fans who could rap along to his song M.A.A.D City - and that several people had been on stage before Delaney.
Rohan was one of them. He rapped the whole song to cheers from the crowd and omitted the N-word throughout.
The reaction to the response from Kendrick and the crowd has been mixed.
Some people said that expecting Delaney not to sing Kendrick's own lyrics back to him was unfair.
Skip Twitter post by @JoeVargas Kendrick Lamar stops his concert because the girl that he brought on stage to sing HIS song says all the lyrics & because she’s white she’s not supposed to say the N word that’s in the song? Kendrick can take the L for that. Don’t use the word if you don’t want ur fans saying it. — Versace Stoner (@JoeVargas) May 21, 2018 Report
Skip Twitter post by @IAmBenAnderson I’m confused by this Kendrick Lamar video tbh. The guy says the n word over and over in the majority of his songs. Calls a fan on stage to rap along to one of them and because she’s white expects her to self censor? 🤔
I think he only stopped her because of the crowd reaction — Ben Anderson (@IAmBenAnderson) May 21, 2018 Report
However others agreed with Kendrick's decision to cut her off.
Skip Twitter post by @caseyrebel13 Honestly how did that girl at the Kendrick Lamar show think it was okay to use the N word? Even after he told her not to she was still gonna say it. I'm glad he cut her off after that. — JJ🏳️🌈 (@caseyrebel13) May 22, 2018 Report

Kendrick Lamar halted a live performance in the middle of a song after a white fan he had invited onstage repeatedly used the N-word.
The rapper - who was performing his hit 'M.A.A.D City' at Hangout Festival on Sunday night - had invited a white, female fan called Delaney onto the stage with him, but interrupted her after she repeatedly used the N-word during the track.
During the Alabama festival, the Lamar stopped the music when he heard the fan rap the racial slur, which features in the track's lyrics, multiple times.
When the music stopped, Delaney asked: "Aren't I cool enough for you? What's up, bro?"
The audience booed the fan after hearing her rap the racial slur three times.
Lamar proceeded to say "you got to bleep one single word, though," referring to the fan's use of the N-word.
The fan replied, suggesting it was an absentminded mistake: "Oh, I’m sorry. Did I do it? I’m so sorry… I’m used to singing it like you wrote it."
This bitch really just said the N word on stage with Kendrick LAMAR! WHAT THE FUCK BITCH! YOU JUST BURIED YOUR GRAVE!!!! @kendricklamar @hangoutfest pic.twitter.com/OJLnIisHyN — lil pushover (@madstervape) May 21, 2018
Lamar then gave the fan an opportunity to redeem herself by letting her continue rapping and also censor herself.
The 30-year-old's performance comes one month after he won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Music for his 2017 album DAMN. Lamar's win was the first for a non-jazz or classical artist.
Kendrick Lamar performs as a special guest on the Coachella stage during week 1, day 1 of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13, 2018 in Indio, Calif.
Kendrick Lamar headlined the final day of Hangout Festival on Sunday in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and invited a few lucky fans to rap “M.A.A.D City” onstage with him before the performance went awry.
According to @alsostephenking on Twitter, who was at the music festival this weekend, the “HUMBLE.” rapper needed fans who knew all the words to the title track of his 2012 studio album good kid, m.A.A.d city.
KENDRICK LAMAR JUST CALLED OUT A WHITE GIRL THAT HE BROUGHT ON STAGE TO RAP MAAD CITY AT HANGOUT FEST FOR SAYING THE N WORD: A THREAD — stephen (@alsostephenking) May 21, 2018
One white female festivalgoer was chosen to rap the hook of the song after two others were given a shot. While dodging the first N-word, she slipped up on the second time, it appears, and continued to sing it two more times as the crowd groaned in response.

Lamar halted the song before laying down the ground rules. “You got to bleep one single word though,” he said. The fan apologized, and despite the crowd’s incessant booing, the rapper graciously gave her a second chance to perform onstage. After being asked to skip over the racial slur, the fan lost her place when rapping “M.A.A.D City” again and incorrectly sang the hook the second time around before Lamar thanked her for joining him.
