Her Met Gala gown reportedly took 600 hours to make.
And Blake Lively, 30, took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that there was a hidden message to her opulent red carpet look.
Taking into consideration the Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, the actress' gown was complemented with a clutch, which featured a cross which had the initials of all members of her family on each point.
Family affair: Blake Lively, 30, took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that there was a hidden message to her opulent red carpet look at the Met Gala on Monday
The gold cross detailing featured four letters - a 'B' for herself, 'R' for husband Ryan Reynolds, J for 3-year-old daughter James, and I for 1-year-old daughter Ines.
Blake's shadow was present in the snap as she leaned in to take the snap of the design - which was missed by many on the red carpet.
'Take your family to work day,' the former Gossip Girl actress captioned the stylish snap.
On Monday, Blake pulled out all the stops as she stepped out onto the red carpet of the 72nd annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit.

The star showed off her killer figure wearing a gilded bodice with a sheer-panelled crimson skirt.
The top of her ornate gown was woven with gold thread among a host of ruby and emerald jewels, with an ample amount of cleavage on display.
'This year’s may be my favourite dress ever,' Lively shared to Vogue earlier this week. 'They’ve already worked on it for 600 hours, and it’s not done.'
Meanwhile, as well as pictures from the Met Gala, Blake has been littering her Instagram platform with a plethora of snaps after she recently returned to Instagram.

Blake's Instagram stunt was part of a viral campaign ahead of the release of her new thriller A Simple Favor.
The movie, directed by Paul Feig, is based on Darcey Bell's novel and follows a vlogger named Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) who goes on the hunt to find the truth behind the disappearance of her best friend Emily Nelson, played by Blake.
Before her account clear out, Blake's last, now-deleted, post was a photo of a completed game of hangman, the answer to which was: 'What happened to Emily?'
A Simple Favor is scheduled for release on September 14.
Blake Lively’s gown at the Met Gala this week stunned onlookers, but most people probably missed one secret detail from her outfit.

The letters on the cross were B and R, for Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds, as well as J and I, for their daughters James and Ines.
The 30-year-old also shared a photo of her with Jimmy Fallon on the Met Gala red carpet in which the “Tonight Show” host is lifting up her long gown over his own suit. Lively joked that she was “pissed” he’d worn the same outfit as her.

In another photo from the night, actress Salma Hayek and French businessman Francois Henri Pinault are seen carrying Lively’s train for her.
Blake Lively's appearance at the Met Gala was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the evening, as she arrived adorned in a stunning Versace gown that allegedly took more than 600 hours to create.
Lively’s look was certainly a feast for the eyes. However, her ensemble featured a touching detail that many people likely failed to notice at first glance.
The actress, best known for her starring role in Gossip Girl, carried a custom bejeweled clutch bag designed by Judith Leiber that paid tribute to her family in a very subtle way.

One side of the “Seamless Sacred Heart” clutch was embellished with the initials of Lively’s family, in addition to the “Reynolds” family surname.
The “B” and “R” referred to the first names of Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, while the “J” and “I” signified their two young children James and Ines.
Deadpool actor Reynolds didn’t accompany his wife to the Met Gala this year, which led some naysayers to speculate about the state of their marriage.
However, the decoration of Lively’s clutch has made it clear that their suppositions are unfounded.
In an Instagram post shared by the 30-year-old a few hours ago, Lively can be seen displaying the clutch on her lap while wearing the Versace dress.
“Take your family to work day…”, she wrote in the caption.
Many of Lively’s followers have expressed their delight over the sweet tribute to her family.

“And I thought her outfit couldn’t be more perfect,” one person commented.
Another individual described the clutch as “precious”, while someone else said it was “cool” and “thoughtful”.
Lively’s dress was so large that she had to be sewn into it while travelling to the Met Gala in a party bus.
She reportedly wore Lorraine Schwartz jewellery worth almost £1.5 million on the night, which included a variety of diamond and ruby rings, diamond earrings and gold bracelets.
The actress finished off her look with a custom halo created from 100 carats of champagne diamonds, in keeping with the “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” theme.
Lively attended the Met Gala with shoe designer Christian Louboutin, who escorted her to the party bus that took her to the event while she wore a silk Versace robe and Louboutin heels.
The event, which is regarded as one of the most important fashion fixtures of the entire year, takes place annually on the first Monday of May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Lively said director Baz Luhrmann's oeuvre was one of the inspirations for her look. "What he did with Shakespeare and love and religion and passion and danger and all of that... 'What would Baz do with the theme?' was sort of our vibe," Lively said. "I saw Baz and Catherine Martin that night, and I was so excited to show them. 'Look at the bag! And look at the dress!'"
Later, she shared a photo of billionaire couple Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault. "When @salmahayek and @francoishenripinault are carrying your train...this is when you know you've made it," she joked on Instagram. "(And also that you're an egomaniacal a hole who must be stopped before you try to take Kings Landing. Cersei doesn't stand a chance. GAH! There I go again!!)" In her Vanity Fair interview, she described the gala's décor as "very Game of Thrones." As luck would have it, "I saw the Mother of Dragons," Lively revealed, referring to the "great" Emilia Clarke. "I kept wanting to go back and ask to take a picture with her, but I was too shy."
