It is no longer a matter of if Mohamed Salah will score every weekend, but what time. Anfield is in the grip of Mo Mania.

The Egyptian’s 40thgoal of the most prolific debut season in Liverpool history came 68 minutes into the 3-0 victory over Bournemouth.

A delicately nudged header beyond Asmir Begovic ensured the visiting goalkeeper joined an exclusive club, taking his place alongside ex-Chelsea stopper Roger Freestone.

Freestone was in goal on May 9, 1987 when, nine minutes into an end of season meeting at Stamford Bridge, Ian Rush became the last Liverpool player to achieve the extraordinary feat.

Even in the rich history of Liverpool, few have elevated themselves to world class status so soon.

Liverpool will be aiming to cap off a good week with victory in the Premier League as they host Bournemouth at Anfield to help continue Saturday's drama.

Having progressed to the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday, Jurgen Klopp's team will now hope to maintain their comfortable position from within the top four when they welcome the Cherries to Merseyside.

Eddie Howe's team have never won at Anfield but will take confidence having drawn 2-2 in their last Premier League clash at the ground. Follow all the action as it happens with ALEX MARTIN.

Fresh from their Champions League heroics, Liverpool return to Premier League action this evening as they host Bournemouth in what promises to be an entertaining contest.

Although the Reds clearly now have one eye on 'number six' in Europe, Jurgen Klopp's side will be eager to sew up a place in next season's competition with another welcome three points to secure a top four place.

Ian Doyle and David Prentice will be covering the game from Anfield while we have Sam Carroll and Joe Rimmer providing support back at the ECHO's new St Paul's Square base.
