Happy news: Chris Evans, 52, has revealed wife Natasha Shishmanian, 38, is expecting TWINS less than a month after discussing her IVF treatment

Brood: The couple, pictured with Eli, four, and Noah, eight, are looking forward to welcoming their fourth and fifth child

During a talk with a pregnancy nutritionist Henrietta Norton, on the show, he mentioned the news as he asked her for advice and she told him to get a bigger car.

Chris said: 'Mrs Evans is...she is now, yeah. Twins. Double trouble. Twin turbo.

'We've known for a while, obviously. She's definitely the mother, there's no doubt about that.

Open: The candid DJ, far right, previously discussed the fact Natasha was undergoing 'harvesting' at a hospital on Friday morning with comedian Rob Brydon, far left, who expressed surprise that the presenter was being so honest live on air

'When you begin to be involved in the world of twins, suddenly twins are everywhere - twins are not as rare as you think.'

Henrietta told Chris that mother's expecting twins need to get their calories from iron-rich foods and eat things like meat if they are meat-eaters and pulses.

He then asked her: 'Do you know where cravings come from?'

'They are naturally driven,' she said. 'Your body will be your guide, so if you are low in vitamin C... I remember when I was pregnant, I used to lick lemons, because I was low in vitamin C. You can be driven by very natural intentions.

'But you can get cravings that are driven by low blood sugar and you might be drawn to more sugary or high salt foods and that's because you are not resting enough.'

Support: Listeners praised Evans and his wife for being honest about their latest attempt to add to their family at the time

DJ Chris Evans (pictured in 2015) called the couple's decision to add to their brood - which includes Eli, 4, and Noah, 8 and Evans's daughter, Jade, 31, from a previous relationship - 'one last hurrah'

Earlier this month, the candid DJ shocked comedian Rob Brydon when he claimed his wife Natasha was 'being harvested around now, with the radio on!'

A bemused Brydon didn't catch on at first before Evans clarified that the couple were hoping to add to their brood, currently Eli, 4, Noah, 8, and Evan's daughter Jade, 30, with the fertility treatment.

However, given his revelation, it's likely that he already knew Natasha was expecting.

Evans, who celebrated his 51st birthday on April Fool's Day, told listeners at the time:

'Mrs Evans has gone into hospital this morning at 7am - she is the field and there's a harvest taking place this morning.

He added: 'I have to leave at 9:30 in the morning because I am required.'

When Brydon failed to realise what Evans was referring to and appeared to worry about Evan's wife Natasha being in hospital, the DJ clarified: 'It's a nice thing, we're having one last hurrah, one last attempt at a fourth ankle biter.'

He added: 'It's an IVF thing. She'll be being harvested around now, with the radio on. She doesn't mind me talking about it.'

He then joked about his honesty, saying: 'Welcome to BBC Radio 2 IVFM.'

Listeners praised Evans' open approach on Twitter, saying they were grateful to him for bringing the issue to the fore.

One, @shaw_emily, wrote: 'Hats off to @achrisevans for being open about IVF. Good luck u guys.'

The couple's second son, Eli, now 4, was conceived through IVF after Natasha, a former professional golfer, suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2010.

Evans wrote for his Mail on Sunday column during the pregnancy: 'Thank you so much to the people who made it possible. We are eternally grateful. You make dreams come true.

'My wife and I couldn’t be more thrilled . . . Like a lot of couples, becoming pregnant this time was not easy and to the extent that it was beginning to feel like it may never happen.'

The BBC's highest-paid star Chris Evans has revealed he and wife Natasha Shishmanian are expecting TWINS after she went through IVF in 2017.

The 52-year-old presenter told listeners on his Radio 2 show this morning of the happy news, confirming he's set to become a dad for the fourth (and fifth!) time.

He snuck in the news during a conversation with a fertility expert, asking her for specific advice on having twins.

"Get a bigger car," she joked, before he said: "Mrs Evans is...she is now, yeah. Twins. Double trouble. Twin turbo.

"We've known for a while, obviously. She's definitely the mother, there's no doubt about that," he broke off, laughing.

He then spoke about the prevalence of twins, comparing the phenomenon to buying a Mini then suddenly seeing loads of the same car on the roads.

"When you begin to be involved in the world of twins, suddenly twins are everywhere - twins are not as rare as you think," he added.

Chris already has 31-year-old daughter Jade from his previous relationship with Alison Ward, and sons Eli Alfred, five, and Noah Nicolas, eight, from his marriage to Natasha, 37.

Eli was conceived via IVF after Natasha suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2010.

He told listeners last April that Natasha, who he married in 2007, had been undergoing fertility treatment to have "a fourth ankle-biter".

Chris quipped to Rob Brydon that Natasha was "being harvested around now, with the radio on".

"Mrs Evans has gone into hospital this morning at 7am - she is the field and there's a harvest taking place this morning."

He added: "I have to leave at 9:30 in the morning because I am required."

When Rob didn't understand what Chris was alluding to, he clarified that he and Natasha wanted another child.

"It's a nice thing, we're having one last hurrah, one last attempt at a fourth ankle-biter," he told his friend on air.

Keith Reed, CEO of the Twins and Multiple Births Association (Tamba), told Mirror Online: "A huge congratulations to Natasha and Chris - they must be excited, nervous and very emotional right now.

"Bringing twins into the world is an incredible experience and, as many of our families will confirm, twins means double the joy and double the love."

He finished off by saying this will be "an amazing adventure" for Chris, Natasha and their family.

Chris has previously been very open about the couple's fertility issues.

When Natasha conceived with their second son Eli, he wrote in his Mail On Sunday column: "My wife and I couldn't be more thrilled.

"Like a lot of couples, becoming pregnant this time was not easy and to the extent that it was beginning to feel like it may never happen.

"Tash's first pregnancy was practically textbook, so naively we thought a follow-up kid would be a cinch. Not so, however," he explained.

"Tash did fall pregnant 18 months ago but the pregnancy became ectopic, we lost the baby and, quite frankly, we almost lost my wife.

"Had it not been for an emergency late-night operation by a brilliant lady surgeon, that would have almost certainly been the case."

Chris added: "After that, Tash's situation was different and we were forced to go down the route of IVF. There have been a few false starts before striking gold. Noah is convinced he's going to have a baby sister come the end of May. All I know is that I might need a few days off my radio show.

"Thank you so much to the people who made it possible. We are eternally grateful. You make dreams come true."

What are the sexual harassment claims against Chris Evans?

An ex-colleague listed explosive sexual harassment and bullying claims about the £2million-a-year star in an email to BBC Director General Lord Hall.

The woman said Evans flashed his penis at her daily for two years and grabbed her breasts.

But she was told by a senior BBC executive there would be no probe into the alleged incidents as they did not happen while Evans was at the Beeb.

Radio Two DJ and ex-Top Gear host Evans, 51, was quizzed by cops last year after the woman alleged he exposed his erect penis to her on Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast in the 1990s.

He denied indecent assault and claimed he was the victim of a witch-hunt.

The woman who cannot be named details the allegations in her email to Lord Hall.

She said Evans “would walk in naked following his morning ritual of taking a bath and would occasionally have an erection and sometimes touch himself.

"On one occasion, he grabbed my breasts.”

She adds: “This is something that I have had to live with for over two decades and it still haunts me now.”

The woman claims Evans, then wed to Carol McGiffin, stepped up his bullying after she rejected his advances.

She says: “He turned other crew members against me and I became very isolated.

"I went from loving my job to feeling dread every morning.”

She says of the 2016 probe: “For the record, it was my decision to ask the police to drop their inquiry into Mr Evans.

"I did this because at the time I was too scared to face him in a court hearing.”

At the time other ex-Big Breakfast staff posted messages on Facebook accusing Evans of bullying them.

The DJ has admitted exposing himself, saying: “If you get your willy out, it’s the funniest thing in the world, girls love it.” He was pictured with his penis out backstage on TFI Friday in the 1990s.
