ROMA, KOMPAS.com - AS Roma yang sempat kalah 1-4 pada pertemuan pertama perempat final Liga Champions, membuat kejutan dengan menyisihkan Barcelona berkat agresivitas gol tandang.
Pada perempat final kedua di Stadion Olimpico, Selasa (10/4/2018) atau Rabu dini hari WIB, AS Roma menang 3-0 atas Barcelona. Tiga gol kemenangan AS Roma dicetak oleh tendangan Edin Dzeko (6'), eksekusi penalti Daniele De Rossi (58'), dan sundulan Konstantinos Manolas (82').
Dengan hasil ini, agregat kedua tim menjadi 4-4. Namun, lantaran bisa mencuri satu gol pada pertemuan pertama di Camp Nou, AS Roma berhak lolos ke semifinal berkat agresivitas gol tandang.

Roma pulled off an extraordinary comeback to knock Barcelona out of the Champions League on Tuesday, winning 3-0 at home to reach the semi-finals by overturning a three-goal deficit from the first leg.
Roma entered the game as massive underdogs after losing the first leg of their quarter-final 4-1 against a Lionel Messi-led team that was one of the big favorites to win the competition.
But they advanced on away goals after center back Kostas Manolas scored the decider with a header from a corner in the 82nd minute amid a deafening atmosphere inside the Stadio Olimpico.
"It wasn't luck. This is what happened," Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco said. "But this isn't enough. We can't be satisfied. This squad needs to aim for (the final in) Kiev. This is an extraordinary squad. Why shouldn't we aim to get there?"
Di Francesco acknowledged before the match that his team needed a "miracle" to advance, and they got the start they needed when when Edin Dzeko controlled an over-the-top pass between two defenders after six minutes and poked in his sixth goal in this season's competition.
Then near the hour mark, Dzeko earned a penalty that Daniele De Rossi converted to set the stage for Manolas' late header.

Pencapaian terbaik mereka adalah perempat final, yang didapatkan pada 2006-2007 dan 2007-2008.
Pada dua kesempatan itu, langkah Tim Serigala selalu dihentikan oleh klub Liga Inggris, Manchester United.
AS Roma sendiri baru 11 kali tampil di Liga Champions dengan debutnya dilakukan pada musim 2001-2002.
I Giallorossi pernah mencapai final, tapi ketika itu kompetisi masih bersama Piala Champions.
Kejadiannya pada 1983-1984, di mana AS Roma kalah dari Liverpool 2-4 lewat adu penalti setelah laga 2x45 menit plus perpanjangan waktu berakhir 1-1.
"Saya tidak peduli soal diri saya tercatat dalam sejarah. Yang penting bagi saya adalah AS Roma mencapai semifinal Liga Champions setelah melawan tim terbaik di dunia, Barcelona," ujar Kostas Manolas , yang mencetak gol penentu kemenangan 3-0 lewat sundulan kepala.
