Harry Novillo to join JDT in May

Harry Novillo will join the reigning Super League champions when the mid-season transfer window opens in the middle of May.
Johor Darul Ta'zim finally let the cat out of the bag and have announced the latest addition to their squad once the second transfer window opens in the middle of May. Joining them in less than two months time is none other than Harry Novillo.
A former product of the youth system at Lyon, whose academy has produced many big names in current world football like Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette, Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, AS Roma's Maxime Gonalons, Bayern Munich's Corentin Tolisso and Barcelona's Samuel Umititi among others.
"The club would like to welcome Harry Novillo, formerly of Lyon and Melbourne City and currently playing in Dubai. He will be joining us when the transfer window opens."

After making only two appearances for Lyon in the senior team, Novillo career went from loan spells in France to signing for Belgium club, RAEC Mons back in 2013. His adventures has seen taken him to Melbourne City FC in Australia, Manisaspor in Turkey and to Baniyas SC in United Arab Emirates.
A forward who is most comfortable on the left hand side of a attacking triumvirate, Novillo looks to be the replacement for Jorge Pereyra Diaz, who left the club in a huff prior to a AFC Cup match in Vietnam.
Johor Darul Ta’zim announced that former Melbourne City star Harry Novillo will be joining them during the June transfer window.
Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) are set to boast a new attacking threat with the imminent arrival of forward Harry Novillo during the Malaysia Super League (MSL) second transfer window in June.
“I’m on fire, you’re on fire, put us together, how they going to stop us?” Novillo was quoted in a statement released by the Southern Tigers late Wednesday night.
The four-time MSL defending champions had on March 23 provided a sneak peek of Novillo’s arrival, posting a picture of Tunku Sultan Ismail with who was believed to be the new import with their backs to the camera.
The 26-year-old Frenchman is set to replace the departed Jorge Pereyra Diaz, who abruptly left the club in February, just before their AFC Cup group match against Song Lam Nge An.

Based on videos of the winger cum forward, JDT will possess a player who oozes confidence in front of goal and is set to be a menace for the opposition backline in the league.
Technically adept and quick, Novillo looks to be a composed finisher and has scored a fairly decent amount of goals from outside the penalty box.
The former Lyon man also has a silky touch, and can be counted on from set-pieces.
Novillo is currently attached to United Arab Emirates club Baniyas Club, where he has netted 10 times in 13 appearances.
After representing France at the Under-17 and U19 levels, Novillo switched allegiance to Martinique, an overseas department of France with a population of no more than 385,000.
Novillo’s arrival will significantly boost JDT’s forward line which is currently made up of Luciano Fiegueroa, Ahmad Hazwan Bakri and Syafiq Ahmad.
The other imports in the team are Hariss Harun, Gonzalo Cabrera, Figueroa and Marcos Antonio.
The Southern Tigers will hope to stretch their two-point lead in the MSL when the Frenchman arrives.
After the international break, JDT have Cup games against Pahang (FA Cup) and Persija Jakarta (AFC Cup), before they face PKNS FC and Pahang, third and second respectively, in the league.
JDT menerusi Pengarah Sukan mereka, Martin Prest mengumumkan kedatangan Harry Novillo ke kelab Johor Darul Ta’zim. Harry Novillo dalam ucapan ringkas beliau berkata:

Martin Prest ternyata gembira dengan kehadiran penggempur dari Perancis, berusia 26 tahun itu. Beliau mengalu-alukan kedatangan Novillo.
“Merah, putih dan biru. Api apabila ia dibakar, ia akan menjadi sesuatu yang tidak dapat dihalang.”
“Kelab ini ingin mengalu-alukan kehadiran Harry Novillo, bekas pemain Lyon dan Melbourne City serta sedang bermain di Dubai ketika ini. Beliau akan menyertai kami di JDT apabila jendela perpindahan dibuka nanti.”
Martin Prest menanggap Novillo sebagai pemain muda yang dahagakan sesuatu dan memilih JDT kerana kelab tersebut adalah kelab yang paling berkembang, paling bercita-cita dan bersungguh-sungguh di Asia Tenggara.

Harry Novillo menyertai akademi Lyon pada usia 7 tahun pada 1999. 11 tahun kemudian beliau melakukan debut untuk pasukan senior Lyon.
Beliau masuk menggantikan penyerang sensasi, Ederson dalam perlawanan liga menentang Monaco pada 7 Ogos 2010.
Pada hari ‘deadline’ jendela perpindahan, beliau menyertai Le Havre. 3 musim beliau dipinjamkan ke Le Havre, Le Havre II dan Ajjacio.
Harry Novillo menyertai beberapa kelab lain termasuk Mons, dan Clermont. Kontrak beliau bersama Clermont ditamatkan selepas insiden dengan rakan sepasukan.
Beliau kemudian berkelana ke Australia untuk menyertai Melbourne City. Novillo menggantikan veteran Damien Duff yang cedera. Aksi beliau di Melbourne City antara yang terbaik di dalam karier beliau.
Novillo membantu Melbourne City ke semifinal A-League buat pertama kali dalam sejarah mereka. Namun Melbourne City tewas di tangan juara musim 2015/16 Adelaide United.
Beliau tersenarai dalam kesebelasan terbaik A-League musim 2015/16 dengan 11 gol dan 4 bantuan gol
Harry Novillo kemudian meninggalkan Melbourne City dan menyertai Manisaspor pada Jun 2016. Beberapa siri kecederaan menghalang beliau untuk bermain kerap. Akhirnya Novillo menyertai Baniyas di UAE.
Beliau sudah menjaringkan 10 gol dan 5 bantuan gol ketika artikel ini ditulis.
Harry Novillo adalah penyerang sayap. Beliau memiliki kepantasan dan gelecekan untuk menewaskan pertahanan. Beliau memang seorang pemain yang agak ‘fancy’ di dalam padang.
Beliau gemar bermain di posisi sayap songsang ataupun inverted winger untuk membolehkan beliau lebih peluang untuk menjaringkan gol. Beliau memiliki kemampuan untuk mengumpan bola dengan hantaran lolos.
Harry Novillo akan menyertai JDT pada jendela perpindahan pertengahan musim selepas JDT kehilangan Jorge Pereyra Diaz.
