Gameweek 28 of the 2017-18 Premier League season concluded on Thursday as Manchester City humiliated Arsenal for the second time in five days.

Meeting again so soon after the EFL Cup final, City were 3-0 up after a little more than 30 minutes played and the Gunners never recovered and even saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have a penalty saved. They remain 10 points off fourth-placed Tottenham.

On Sunday, Manchester United beat Chelsea thanks to Jesse Lingard's headed winner in a result which could prove pivotal in the top-four race. Willian had given the Blues the lead at Old Trafford, starting and finishing a counterattack before Romelu Lukaku equalised just before the break.

With Tottenham beating Crystal Palace earlier in the day thanks to Harry Kane's 88th-minute winner, the reigning champions end the gameweek outside the top four for the first time since October.

The weekend began at the King Power Stadium as Stoke City held Leicester on a day where the relegation battle took centre stage as every team bar Crystal Palace from Burnley in seventh down were in action as the bottom half of the table took centre stage.
