Pedophile Glee actor Mark Salling's suicide has robbed his victims of $50,000 each that a judge was going to order him to pay them at his sentencing, it has emerged.
Salling's body was found 'hanging from a tree' near the Starwood Riding Club, an equestrian facility located roughly six miles from his Sunland home in Los Angeles, California.
The actor's career came crashing down in 2015 after he was arrested for possession of appalling child pornography showing victims as young as three.
Investigators found 50,000 images and videos on his computer, more than 4,000 on a thumb drive and tens of thousands more on an encrypted hard drive.
He was due to be sentenced by a judge on March 7 and faced between four and seven years after taking a plea deal in December.
Salling's death means he will avoid the $250,000 fine he was ordered to pay as part of his plea in addition to the $50,000 he would have to hand over to each victim seeking restitution in the case.
The Supreme Court ruled in 2014 that children who are featured in child pornography are victimized twice - first by the abuser who films them and a second time by the person who views those images.
As a result, it was ordered that individuals who are charged with viewing child pornography are liable for restitution in an amount equal to the victim’s out-of-pocket losses for things such a treatment, loss of work and attorney's fees.
Salling's car was found parked on the side of the road approximately 200 feet from where his body was found by Big Tujunga Creek.

The show's former vocal coordinator Tim Davis led the tributes on Tuesday, writing that the 35-year-old, who starred for four seasons as Noah 'Puck' Puckerman, was a 'broken man'.
'Today we lost another Glee cast member. Yes, he committed crimes against children. Yes, it's horrific. But #MarkSalling was a broken man, no doubt an abuse victim himself,' he wrote.
'Having compassion for #MarkSalling in no way minimizes his crimes, nor does it minimize the pain and devastation of the victims of those crimes,' he added in a follow-up tweet a few minutes later. The message was quickly re-tweeted or favorited by multiple Glee actors.
But Fineas O'Connell, who appeared in four episodes of Glee in 2015 as Alistair, wasn't so kind in his tribute.
'I met Mark Salling once when we were filming the final episode of Glee together. I didn't know him at all and I won't pretend I did,' he wrote curtly.
'It's been a horrifying thing these past two years finding out about the crimes he's committed. I don't feel sorry for him. Only sorry for his fans.'

Actress Jane Lynch said she was struggling with Salling's death in an interview with TMZ Tuesday afternoon. The 57-year-old who played head cheer coach Sue Sylvester called the incident 'tragic,' and said she is 'broken hearted.'
When she was asked how she would remember Salling, Lynch paused and appeared to choke on her words for a moment, before picking a charming memory of the actor during his early days on Glee.
'As the guy who made that really sweet video in the beginning of Glee when he was so happy to be a part of this group,' she told reporters.
Glee producer Paris Barclay added: 'It's a painful loss, again. Two young actors, lost too soon. RIP #marksalling.'

Salling's family requested privacy in a statement released on Tuesday afternoon by the late actor's lawyer.
'I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning,' it read.
'Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.'

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told to DailyMail.com that Salling was pronounced dead at the scene at 9am.
'I heard it was hanging,' said Winter, who later noted that 'the investigation is ongoing and a full autopsy is pending.'
Winter said the autopsy would take place within the next two days.
Salling was just six weeks away from a sentencing hearing in his case, where he faced four to seven years in prison after entering a guilty plea to a federal charge of possessing material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
It was revealed in court documents that some of the images Salling possessed featured children as young as three.
At the time of the hearing, he told the judge he was on medication for depression.
Member of the LAPD and volunteers from the Mayor's Crisis Response Team, were spotted at his Sunland home where he'd been living before his death.
The three ladies, wearing light blue t-shirts bearing the team's logo, were escorted into the property by the female officer and let inside by an occupant of the home.
According to the CRT website, the volunteers 'provide immediate on-scene crisis intervention, act as a liaison between the victim and emergency personnel and give referrals to victims and their families affected by a death, a violent crime or other traumatic incidents.
'These incidents include homicides, suicides, traffic fatalities, officer involved shooting, death notification, infant deaths, natural deaths and multi-casualty incidents.'
Neighbors said they had seen Salling come and go in recent weeks, making trips to a local 7/11 for groceries.
The actor previously attempted suicide in August by slitting his wrists, though his lawyer initially denied that the actor had been attempting to take his own life.

He was rushed to the hospital and later received therapy, agreeing to a plea deal a short time after he recovered and received counselling for the incident before formally declaring his guilt in December.
Salling's career came crashing down in 2015 after he was arrested for possession of child porn.
Investigators found he 'downloaded thousands of images of child pornography' between April and December 2015.
Federal court papers state he used software to mask his IP address, but twice showed some of his collection to an adult woman, who ultimately reported him to police.
Following the tip-off, Salling was arrested at his home in Sunland, California, where police found a cache of explicit images on his computer depicting children as young as three in sexual situations.
Authorities discovered more than 50,000 images and videos of child pornography and child erotica on Salling's computer.
An additional 4,000 photos and 160 videos were later found on a thumb drive in Salling's residence.
There was an encrypted hard drive as well with photos, resulting in a total of 25,000 images of child pornography, 29,000 images of child erotica and over 600 videos.

The actor was originally facing a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars after being charged with two counts of child pornography last year.
Salling took a plea deal in December, where he pleaded guilty to possessing images of prepubescent children between the ages of three and five. Prosecutors in response, agreed to ask the judge to sentence him to between four and seven years in jail.
At the time of the hearing, he told the judge he was on medication for depression.
The 35-year-old would also have been required to register as a sex offender, pay restitution and abide by residency restrictions.
That would have meant he was banned from coming within 100 feet of schoolyards, parks, public swimming pools, playgrounds and video arcade venues; and cannot speak to children under the age of 18 without their parents or guardians present.

Lieutenant Andrea Grossman, commander of the LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, said at the time: 'It doesn't matter who you are or what you do, if you hurt a child you will be held accountable.'
She added: 'These images are more than photographs, they are child abuse.'
He is the second major actor from the popular series to have died at a young age.
His costar Cory Monteith died from a drugs overdose in his Vancouver hotel room in March 2013. The actor, who had a history of substance abuse as a teen, was just 31 years old.
The coroner found he died of a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol, and ruled that his death was an 'accidental overdose'.
Salling was previously sued by his ex-girlfriend Roxanne Gorzela for sexual battery.
Gorzela claimed that he forced her to have unprotected sex with him and later, when she confronted him over his actions, Salling allegedly pushed her to the ground and caused injury to her knees.
It was reported that the case was settled midway through trial after Gorzela dropped the sexual battery claim.
