Powerball 12/27/17 winning numbers, live lottery results for Wednesday's $337M drawing


LANSING, MI - The Powerball jackpot is now worth nearly $400 million as there was no winner of the $340 million jackpot for the drawing held on Wednesday, Dec. 27.

That means the drawing on Saturday, Dec. 30 will be worth at least $384 million with a cash option of $239.7 million.

Powerball winners for Dec. 27:

While there was no grand prize winner, one ticket sold in Georgia matched all five white numbers drawn to win $1 million.

That player also played the Power Play option which increased their winnings to $2 million.

Overall, there were 1,319,933 winners in the drawing who won at least $4 each. In Michigan, there were 42,297 winners.

In Michigan, one ticket sold matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000. That was the largest prize won in the state.

Prior to the drawing, the jackpot increased from the estimated $337 million to $340 million.

Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). Tickets cost $2 each.

The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday Dec. 29 with an estimated jackpot of $306 million and cash option of $191 million.

The next Lotto 47 drawing is Saturday, Dec. 30 at 7:29 p.m. with a jackpot of $1.25 million. Deadline is 7:08 p.m. that day.

Thursday's Fantasy 5 jackpot is an estimated $174,000. The drawing is at 7:29 p.m. Deadline is 7:08 p.m.

UPDATE: Powerball jackpot climbs to $384 million

The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday's estimated $337 million jackpot are: 16, 60, 3, 56, 9. The Powerball is 3. PowerPlay is 3x.

Wednesday night's drawing tied for the 25th largest in U.S. lottery history. The cash option for this evening's drawing is $210.4 million.

The Powerball jackpot hasn't been captured since Oct. 25 when a Louisiana family matched all the winning numbers for a $191 million drawing. They chose the cash option and won $119,492,684.81 before taxed were deducted.

The Powerball jackpot has been won seven times this year. The largest of those was Aug. 23 when Mavis Wanczyk of Chicopee, Mass. bought a ticket worth $758.7 million. It's the biggest prize won by a single ticket in the United States.

She took the cash option - worth $480,500,936. After taxes, Wanczyk received a check for $336,350,655.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each. The odds of a ticket hitting the jackpot are 292,201,338 to 1. Players have roughly a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to win the second prize of at least $1 million.

The twice-weekly game is played in 44 states, Washington D.C, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Meanwhile, no one won the $277 million Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday night. A ticket sold in Washington matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball and is worth $1 million. The next drawing Friday is worth $306 million with a cash option of $191 million.

A tickets sold a 7-Eleven on Morris Avenue in Union matched four numbers pus the Mega Ball and is worth $10,000.
