Carabao Cup semi-final draw LIVE

10.38pm: That's all from us tonight, but before we say goodnight here's a reminder of those two Carabao Cup semi-final ties.

Chelsea v Arsenal (first leg at Stamford Bridge)

Manchester City v Bristol City (first leg at the Emirates)

10.35pm: More from Lee Johnson: "It's an overwhelming feeling of pride, to beat Manchester United is incredible. They are a special group. It has been a long time since we had a result like that at Ashton Gate.

"The lads didn't want to go into extra time and the scenes that winner set off were unbelievable. My dad always says he's the most successful Bristol City manager so I have maybe pushed him close tonight!"

10.30pm: Robins boss Lee Johnson isn't expecting Bristol City's fans to turn up for work tomorrow after spending the night celebrating on the cider!

"You don't want a pitch invasion but I'm sure everyone appreciates the passion in that result," he said.

"I don't think many fans will be turning up for work tomorrow, they'll be on the cider."

10.29pm: A reminder of when those games will take place.

The first legs will be in the week beginning January 8 with the second-legs at the Emirates and Ashton Gate taking place a fortnight later.

10.27pm: And for Bristol City it's Pep Guardiola's unbeaten Manchester City who lie in wait.

They'll host the Premier League leaders in the second-leg at Ashton Gate so will hope to return from the first-leg at the Etihad still in the contest.

Championship leaders Wolves took City all the way earlier in the competition, could City go a step further than their second tier rivals?

10.26pm: So we've got a London derby in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

The first-leg will be played at Stamford Bridge with the return match at the Emirates two weeks later.

10.25pm: CARABAO CUP DRAW: Chelsea v Arsenal, Manchester City v Bristol City

10.24pm: Right. Now we are ready for business. A reminder of those ball numbers.

1. Arsenal

2. Manchester City

3. Bristol City

4. Chelsea

10.22pm: Jose Mourinho also felt his side were not at the races and ready to battle for victory.

"In the first half we lacked intensity. And when I say intensity I mean not just physically but mentally.

"For some of us it was like one more day in the office, probably a day for some of them where they don't even want to come to the office!

"For the Bristol boys it was a big, big day for them, and you could see that."

10.20pm: Before we get down to business and sort out the semi-final ties, here's more from defeated United boss Jose Mourinho.

"They were a bit lucky. But they fought a lot to be lucky. They won the game in our best moment, where we can't react, when everyone was waiting for our goal.

"So I have to say they were a bit lucky.

"I congratulate them. I don't want me saying they are lucky to be the main thing of it. The main thing of it is that they won."

10.18pm: The draw is just minutes away...

10.15pm: Before he rushed out of Ashton Gate, Jose Mourinho spoke with Sky Sports.

He says Bristol City were 'lucky' but conceded the Championship high-fliers made their own luck.

10.14pm: Fair play to Korey Smith. See above for the City star's goal celebration vid.

10.10pm: Jose Mourinho is up to his old tricks again.

He's raced through the media area at Ashton Gate, holding a press conference with just ONE journalist after the game.

The United boss has now left the stadium.

10.07pm: Zlatan Ibrahimovic won't like this.

Forget being a lion, David Pleat has just called him 'stale' on Radio Five Live.

"Zlatan - the great Zlatan - scored but looked by his standards slightly stale," he said.

10.04pm: A little bit more from Robins midfielder Smith.

"Unbelievable I don't know what to say.

"We played brilliantly like we have all season.

"I wasn't being tracked when I made the runs forward, I was gutted with the one in the first half but it was a great tackle to be fair."

10pm: City's hero Korey Smith wants Arsenal in the next round, as he's a Gunners fan.

He'll find out shorty if his wish will come true.

9.57pm: Bristol City's players have battled through the crowd on the pitch and are celebrating in the tunnel area. They better keep the noise down or risk upsetting Jose...

9.52pm: FULL TIME! Bristol City beat Manchester United 2-1. The home fans celebrate with a pitch invasion.

They'll have another huge side in the semi-finals with Chelsea, Manchester City or Arsenal lying in wait.

The draw is just minutes away.

9.50pm: Korey Smith is City's hero. He evaded the offside trap, controlled on his chest, swivelled and cooly finished past Sergio Romero. Surely no time for the visitors to reply.

9.49pm: GOAL!!!!!!!!! Bristol City score in the last minute of stoppage time!

9.47pm: We're into injury time at Ashton Gate - three minutes have been added on.

9.45pm: When we get around to the draw (which could not be for another half-hour) Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates will supervise as Bristol City legend Louis Carey and ex-United man Phil Neville draw the balls out of the hat.

9.40pm: We're into the final 10 minutes in Bristol.

Man Utd are well on top but haven't found a winning goal yet.

9.38pm: FULL TIME! Chelsea beat Bournemouth 2-1 to reach the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

What a finish at Stamford Bridge.

9.33pm: GOAL! Chelsea edge ahead again.

More drama at the death, as Alvaro Morata puts the Blues back in front.

9.31pm: GOAL! Bournemouth equalise at Chelsea.

Dan Gosling on target in stoppage time.

9.30pm: 20 minutes left on the watch at Ashton Gate. As it stands we're set for a delayed draw!

9.25pm: We're into the final 10 minutes at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea remain on course for a spot in the final four.

Bristol City will look to bridge a huge gulf in resources when they welcome Manchester United to Ashton Gate for tonight's Carabao Cup quarter-final.

City lie third in the Championship, four points outside the automatic promotion places and with their sights fixed on the big time - but the comparison between the two squads spells out the task facing them.

And, while United may not field a first-choice line-up in a competition in which they have typically made changes, City are without a couple of key players in record signing Famara Diedhiou and Republic of Ireland winger Callum O'Dowda.

That leaves defenders Bailey Wright and Hordur Magnusson as the only players with international experience in the Robins' likely line-up - Wright has played 21 times for Australia while Magnusson has recently established himself in Iceland's line-up and has 15 caps.

And without £5.3 million Senegal forward Diedhiou, as well as £1m-plus signing O'Dowda, manager Lee Johnson is likely to choose from a squad of players signed for reported fees totalling around £11.5m.

United full-back Matteo Darmian, signed from Torino for a reported £12.7m in 2015 and with 36 caps for Italy, matches up with City's entire available selection in those two categories.

The 28-year-old is by no means a key man in Jose Mourinho's squad - indeed, it would be possible for Mourinho to select a back five in which Darmian was the cheapest acquisition, with Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo at centre-back and Luke Shaw or Daley Blind on the left.

United's starting XI against Swansea in the previous round counted 272 caps for their countries and cost over £140m to assemble.

The three substitutes used by Mourinho on that occasion - Shaw, Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku - cost as much again and there could be further power to add this time around.

There have been suggestions pre-match that Henrikh Mkhitaryan, signed for a reported £26m from Borussia Dortmund, could be handed an increasingly rare chance to impress and that £89m France star Paul Pogba could feature in midfield having served a three-match suspension.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is another player thought to be in contention - the striker was signed on a free transfer, but has 116 caps for Sweden and has won league titles in Italy, Spain, France and Holland.
