TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Film arahan sutradara Bruce Beresford, Double Jeopardy akan tayang di Bioskop Trans TV , Jumat (15/11/2019) pukul 23.00 WIB.
Film yang bercerita tentang penipuan yang dilakukan seorang suami kepada istrinya demi uang asuransi ini tayang perdana di bioskop pada 24 September 1999.
Dengan naskah yang ditulis Douglas S. Cook bersama David Weisberg, film Double Jeopardy diperankan oleh Tommy Lee Jones, Ashley Judd , Jay Brazeau, Bruce Greenwood, dan masih banyak lagi.
Film berdurasi 105 menit ini mendapatkan ulasan dari situs Rotten Tomatoes sebanyak 27 persen.
Sementara dari situs IMDb, film ini mendapatkan nilai 6,5 dari 10.
Menurut laman IMDb, film distribusi studio Paramount Pictures tersebut diperkirakan menghabiskan dana sebanyak 70 juta dolar AS dalam proses pembuatannya.
Sedangkan penghasilan yang didapat dari pemutarannya di Amerika mencapai lebih dari 116 juta dolar AS.
Dari pemutarannya di seluruh dunia, film ini mendapatkan lebih dari 177 juta dolar AS.
Nick (Bruce Greenwood) dan Libby Person (Ashley Judd) merupakan pasangan suami istri.

A jewel thief who beat two elderly people to death in their own homes has been convicted of their murders two decades on.
Michael Weir fatally attacked 78-year-old Leonard Harris and Rose Seferian, 83, in 1998, the Old Bailey was told.
The original investigation missed clues to link the killings but DNA testing connected Weir to both London attacks after 20 years, the court heard.
Weir, 52, of Hackney, had denied two counts of murder.
Prosecutor Tom Little QC told the jury the "defenceless pensioners" had been struck repeatedly and "left for dead".
Weir was originally found guilty of murdering Mr Harris by an Old Bailey jury in July 1999, but his conviction was quashed by the Court of Appeal in 2000 on a technicality.
He was retried under the so-called double jeopardy law when new forensic evidence came to light, and prosecutors believe Weir is "the first convicted man to be convicted twice".
Trial judge Mrs Justice McGowan told the jury they had made "legal history".

On 28 January 1998, Weir broke into Mr Harris's flat in East Finchley, north London, leaving him with serious head injuries.
The pensioner was found by an estate agent while his wife, who suffered from dementia, was left badly injured on a bedroom floor.
An 18-carat gold watch Mr Harris had taken from a German soldier during World War Two and his gold ring were missing.
Three days after the attack, police found a palm print on the bedroom door but missed the match to the defendant at the time, the court heard.
On 5 March, Weir violently attacked Ms Seferian in her bedroom when she was at home on her own.
He stole jewellery including a gold wedding ring with her husband's initials and the date of their marriage engraved on it, a diamond solitaire gold ring, and a silver diamond ring, as well as cash.

In 2005, the 800-year-old "double jeopardy" law that prevented a defendant from being tried a second time for the same offence was scrapped.
From that point the Court of Appeal was able to grant a retrial if "new, compelling, reliable and substantial evidence" had emerged.
Billy Dunlop became the first person to be convicted under the new law. He brutally murdered Julie Hogg in 1989 but, after two trials in which jurors could not reach a verdict, he was acquitted. In 2006 he was convicted at a fresh trial following the law change.
However, until today the law had only been used to convict those acquitted at a first trial - making Michael Weir the first defendant ever to be found guilty of the same murder, twice.
And as the trial judge Mrs Justice McGowan told the jury, that made "legal history".
Jurors were told a palm print found inside her Kensington flat on a window frame where Weir broke in was not matched to him until 2017.
The trial heard that by 2018 new DNA evidence had been obtained and palm prints from both murder scenes were matched to Weir.
It is believed to be the first time a defendant has been found guilty of the same murder twice, and where a second murder charge has been added to a double jeopardy case.
Det Ch Insp Shaun Fitzgerald, from the Met, said: "Nothing can ever take away the pain of Leonard and Rose's families but we hope this conviction brings them some kind of closure.
"Weir literally thought he had got away with murder but he now faces a considerable custodial sentence where he will have significant time to reflect on his utterly callous actions towards two completely innocent victims."
Sentencing was adjourned until a date to be fixed.

Burly 6ft 2in bodybuilder Weir savagely beat Mr Harris, 78, and battered his terrified wife while he ransacked their North London flat on January 28, 1998.
Weir tied Mr Harris to a chair while he tortured his 81-year-old wife, who suffered from dementia. He stole a gold watch which Mr Harris had taken from a German officer during the Second World War and a gold signet ring.
Mr Harris, whose face was described as "completely black and blue", was found in his doorway by an estate agent visiting an adjacent flat. Mr Harris was conscious but he drifted into a coma.
Six months later he died and Weir was charged with murder after his blood found in a glove taken from the flat was matched with blood taken from him by police in a 1997 drugs investigation, which had been dropped.

But Weir's murder conviction was overturned in May 2000 due to a legal loophole which says DNA samples in an abandoned investigation must be destroyed.
The Crown Prosecution Service vowed to appeal, but lawyers were a day late putting in the papers. The blunder meant Weir, who had convictions for burglary, robbery, assault and rape, was released.
It was not until Scotland Yard reviewed the National Fingerprint Database in 2017 that officers discovered a link to a burglary just weeks after the attack on Mr Harris. Mrs Seferian, 83, was attacked in the three-bedroom flat in Kensington, West London, that she shared with her son and two daughters.

She was savagely beaten as Weir ripped diamond rings worth a total of £100,000 (NZ$201,000) from her fingers.
The mother of three managed to raise the alarm and her son found her covered in blood and almost unrecognisable. She died a short time later on April 9, 1998.
A palm print was recovered from the flat, but police failed to match it to an identical one recovered from Mr Harris's property.
It was only when a match was found in 2017 that the CPS was able to bring the double jeopardy case. The law changed in 2005 to allow defendants to be retried if new evidence comes to light.
Yesterday Weir was finally convicted of his horrific crimes. The killer showed no emotion in the dock as he was convicted. Mrs Justice McGowan warned Weir he faced a life sentence with a minimum of 30 years before he can be released.
Detective Chief Inspector Shaun Fitzgerald, from Specialist Crime, said: "More than 20 years has passed since Leonard and Rose suffered brutal assaults which contributed to their deaths, 20 years of pain and continued grief for both families.
"Both victims had been able to live at home until the point of these attacks. It was undoubtedly Weir's actions which saw them both rushed to hospital and set in train the cause of their deaths."

Pihak Jeremy menyebut Patrick tak punya legal standing atau hak gugatan atas suatu perkara atau sengketa. Selama ini, Patrick menyampaikan putusan pengadilan yang sepotong alias tidak utuh, begitu kata Dasril, selaku tim kuasa hukum Jeremy. Dasril mengatakan pada Kompas.com via telepon pada Jumat (8/11/2019) bahwa atas putusan di Pengadilan Negeri Gianyar tersebut, dilakukan banding dan sudah ada keputusan banding. Keputusan banding tersebut dilakukan oleh kasasi dan keputusan di Pengadilan Negeri Gianyar seperti yang disampaikan Patrick. Dasril menjelaskan, putusan kasasi yang ada telah menguatkan sengketa perdata atas kepemilikan vila sekaligus menyatakan bahwa Patrick tidak mempunyai legal standing yang kuat. Dasril mengungkapkan bahwa putusan pertama telah menolak kasasi dari Patrick, putusan kedua, Patrick tidak mempunyai legal standing, dan yang terakhir, Pengadilan Negeri Gianyar tidak memiliki kewenangan untuk mengadili. Dasril menambahkan, berdasar putusan kasasi tahun 2017, Patrick tidak memiliki kedudukan hukum atau klaim atas kepemilikan vila di Ubud, Bali. Dengan keluarnya putusan kasasi hingga di tingkat Mahkamah Agung, maka secara otomatis, Patrick tidak lagi mempunyai hak untuk menggugat secara perdata, ungkap Dasril. Terkait kisruh perjanjian kepemilikan vila, Dasril menyebut sudah ada kesepakatan atas peralihan hak milik dan semua pihak telah menandatangani, termasuk Patrick yang disebut telah menerima sejumlah uang sebesar Rp17 miliar, dari pihak Jeremy Thomas. Dasril menjelaskan, vila tersebut atas nama orang lain yang bernama Rudy Marcio. Antara Rudy Marcio ada kerjasama dengan Patrick dan Jeremy untuk untuk membantu kebutuhan keuangan, hal tersebut terjadi sekitar tahun 2013. Vila tersebut dijual dan uangnya diterima, Patrick juga ikut menandatangani bukti tersebut. Terkait penetapan tersangka oleh Polda Metro Jaya kepada Jeremy, terkait kasus dugaan penipuan vila, Dasril menyebut sebagai proses hukum yang berbeda dengan sengketa kepemilikan vila yang sebelumnya telah bergulir hingga tingkat kasasi. Lanjut Dasril, laporan tersebut dilayangkan Patrick usai kalah dalam gugatan perdata. Dasril menjelaskan, Patrick membuat laporan di Polda Bali sekiranya tahun 2015-2016, dan pada tahun 2016, sudah diberikan Surat Penghentian Penyidikan (SP3), kemudian atas SP3 tersebut di pra peradilkan, lalu keluar putusan pra peradilan. Polda Bali tidak lagi melanjutkan hal tersebut, lalu berkas tersebut dibawa ke Polda Metro Jaya. Menurut Dasril Affandi, kasus hukum yang kini menjerat kliennya menjadi double jeopardy, alias hukuman ganda. Dasal asas double jeopardy disebutkan, ada sebuah pembelaan hukum yang melarang seseorang diadili untuk kedua kalinya, untuk pelanggaran hukum yang sama. Sementara, kasus hukum yang menjerat Jeremy sempat bergulir dalam ranah hukum perdata, namun kini bergulir kembali ke dalam ranah pidana, ungkap Dasril. Dasril menambahkan, pada intinya, sengketa kepemilikan vila yang dipersoalkan selama ini sudah selesai karena didasari dari kesepakatan antar pihak.
