The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift Tayang Global TV Malam Ini

It's still hard to believe that Paul Walker passed away just after his 40th birthday.

We aren't alone in our disbelief. The sudden shock of the tragic car accident that took the Fast and the Furious actor's life in November 2013 rocked Hollywood and his fans across America.

Wonder Woman star, Gal Gadot, worked alongside Paul Walker during three of the Fast and Furious films and has admitted that she still hasn't processed his death.

Gadot played Gisele Yashar in the fourth movie, and appeared in the two subsequent sequels. She was killed off in the sixth installment of the franchise, so including her in Furious 7 didn't make sense.

“I wasn’t in touch with him in between projects, so it was one movie, and then I know that I’m going to see him in the next one, etc. etc,” she said. “And I was living in Israel. So for me, I still don’t realize that he died because if there’s going to be another movie, some part of me thinks that I’m going to see Paul, because that’s just the way that it is for me.”

The two had a close bond on and off screen and she was instantly attracted to his great smile and charm.

“I loved Paul and I adored him from the very first moment that I met him because he was so grounded and down to Earth and the cutest, coolest dude,” she said. “And so real as well.”

She posted a touching tribute on Facebook after his passing that sums up her disbelief in his death.

Lost a dear friend today. So sudden and tragic .. Hard to believe.. Paul was a great man with a big heart and passion... Posted by Gal Gadot on Saturday, November 30, 2013

Paul left behind a daughter, Meadow, who is now 18 and while she has been quiet, she has been doing some amazing things.

On his birthday last year, she launched the Paul Walker Foundation to celebrate her father's love for the ocean, passion from rescuing animals and desire to help people.

Before his heartbreaking death, Paul had a long and successful career. He made a name for himself in 1998, during his role on Pleasantville, opposite stars Reese Witherspoon and Tobey Maguire.

He also had roles in She's All That, Variety Blues and Joy Ride, before starring in The Fast and the Furious in 2001.

While the world still mourns the loss of a great actor and inspiring person, loved ones still continue to pay tribute.

Tyrese posted on Instagram 2 years ago,

"Please continue to pray for the Walker family and his real friends who was with him every single day.... They're some of the best and strongest people I know...... I know you're in heaven smiling and rooting for us all.."

His memory continues to live on through those whose lives he impacted.

Vin Diesel and Gal Gadot got their children together and posted a heartwarming photo that proves that family is forever.

Crawley Wasps manager Paul Walker wants hundreds of fans to get behind his side at the People’s Pension Stadium this afternoon as they hunt the victory that would seal back-to-back promotions.

Wasps face closest title rivals Billericay Town on Sunday (2pm kick-off), knowing a win would lift them into the third tier of women’s football.

Up to 900 tickets are available and Walker believes there’s no better place to host the big match.

He said: “We’re building a strong partnership between the town’s top men’s club and its top women’s club and it’s very fitting our first game at the People’s Pension Stadium is this one.

“People who haven’t seen a women’s game before will be very impressed by the standard. We have a squad of technically gifted players who can put on a great show.

“It’s going to be a tough game, because Billericay are a good side, so we’re in for a great match.”

They have been enjoying their best ever season having won 27 of their 30 matches in all competitions, including a 3-0 win at Luton last Sunday, when Amy Green, Naomi Cole and Rachel Palmer struck.

They hosted Arsenal in front of 1,550 people at Oakwood FC in the Women’s FA Cup.

“We had the excitement of the Arsenal game in January and this is another massive opportunity for us,” Walker said.

“With the World Cup coming up and the growth of the women’s game generally, there’s never been a more exciting time to be a part of Crawley Wasps.”

Misión Mortal (Under the Wire)

A PAIR of North-East car dealers have come up with a novel way to stay safe in traffic – by walking to work dressed as traffic cones.

Paul Walker and Steve Jones will be walking into work at RMB Auto, in Darlington, on Friday as part of International Walk to Work Day.

The aim of the walk is to raise money for Butterwick Hospice Care, but things took an unexpected turn when Mr Walker received an offer he couldn’t refuse.

“We’d raised about £100, when someone said they would double their donation if we did it in fancy dress. So now we’ll be walking to work dressed as traffic cones,” he said.

Mr Walker had two traffic cone costumes left over from a friend’s stag party in Southport and managed to persuade his colleague that wearing them would be a good idea.

He said: “We quickly saw the benefit of it. We’ll have to walk along the grass verge on busy roads, so at least we’ll be much more visible to cars now. After all, drivers are used to avoiding cones on the road.”

The pair will be walking the 11 miles into their workplace from Mr Walker’s home in Norton, and expect to take about four hours.

So far, they have raised £305 to support the work of Butterwick Hospice.

Mr Walker said: “We originally said if we could get £10 a mile, we’d be happy, but the response has been fantastic.

“Now we’ve broken our initial target, we really want to see if we can raise £500, or even £1,000 towards the incredible work the Butterwick Hospice does.

“We’ve agreed that if we get to £500, we’ll keep the cones on all day. I’ve got a couple of spares if we need to get changed and, if we get to £1000, we’ll walk home in them too.”

Mr Walker became a trustee for Butterwick Hospice in December and, after being inspired by the "amazing" work of the charity, he wanted to make a personal contribution.

Jo Wallis, head of marketing and fundraising at Butterwick Hospice, said: “It’s certainly one of the more unusual ways of raising money we’ve come across. It’s a fantastic gesture and we hope they get lots of support.”

Anyone who would like to support Paul and Steve’s fundraising can donate by visiting RMB Toyota on Facebook, or at RMB Toyota on Yarm Road, Darlington.

NORTH BUFFALO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — The search resumed Wednesday for a missing man, who is possibly suffering from dementia, in Armstrong County.

Paul Walker, 70, was last seen Tuesday afternoon on Walker Road in North Buffalo Township.

Crews were able to locate Walker late Wednesday afternoon, according to officials at the South Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department.

“Good news, Uncle Paul has been found alive, safe, getting checked out at the hospital,” said Walkers niece Michele Gaisey Walker.

“He was last seen at the house, just outside in the yard, so our search area right now, we’ve been searching about a mile grid right now and then we’ll probably expand that out from there,” South Buffalo Township Fire Chief Randy Brozenick said.

Firefighters say Walker, who may be a dementia patient, has wandered off before, but usually sticks to the road.

Michele Gaiser, Walker’s niece, said her uncle set out Tuesday for his daily walk on the farm, but never came back.

“He walks all day, every day,” she said. “My mom does track him. She times him.”

He was wearing a tan-colored, hooded coat, blue jeans and gray Velcro shoes.

Police spent hours Tuesday night searching, using a helicopter with thermal imaging cameras and a bloodhound team, but their efforts were suspended around 1 a.m.

Here’s a better picture of the missing man in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County given to me from his niece. His name is Paul Walker and he’s 70. He has dementia and diabetes. Please share! @KDKA pic.twitter.com/84oEvsxPED — MEGHAN SCHILLER (@MeghanKDKA) March 27, 2019

The search resumed at 8 a.m. Right now, the South Buffalo VFD is only asking for first responder assistance only.

Officials say they were expanding their search area today. They fanned out across nearly 75 acres with walkie-talkies and wearing fluorescent vests.

Walker’s family says he isn’t combative but he will be disoriented. They said his blood sugar will be very low, too.

All tips or possible sightings should be reported to state police at 724-543-2011.

Stay with KDKA for the latest on this developing story.

Forget the Justice League, Gal Gadot will always be part of a more powerful family.

Every Fast & Furious film has its thing. The Fast and the Furious is the start of it all; 2 Fast 2 Furious is the forgotten gem; Tokyo Drift is the one that’s better than you remember; Fast Five is the greatest movie ever made; Fast & Furious 6 is when Dwayne Johnson officially became part of the gang; Furious 7 is a tearjerker; The Fate of the Furious is the end of an era. But what about the fourth installment, 2009’s Fast & Furious? (Yes, it’s very confusing that the film and series are styled the same way.) Well, the film with the worst Rotten Tomatoes score of the franchise is actually the most important one of them all.

There’s a long list of reasons for why Fast 4, which turns 10 on Wednesday, is so crucial to this pop culture juggernaut. It’s may be hard to believe now but the Fast & Furious franchise was on the verge of death before this ride. Vin Diesel sat out 2 Fast, and then Tokyo Drift was completely independent from the first two films until Diesel made a brief cameo in the final scene (and he only did so to acquire the rights of Riddick). And yet, somehow, three years later, Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster were all back together — and even more surprising is the box office powerhouse that the series would soon become.

In addition to the return of the OGs, Fast & Furious also gave us the resurrection of Han (Sung Kang), the resulting jump backwards in time to include Han, the presumed death of Letty (Rodriguez), and, maybe most importantly, the introduction of Gisele to the Fast world and the introduction of Gal Gadot to the world.

Image zoom Relativity Media/Universal/Kobal/REX/Shutterstock

Fast & Furious marked the big screen debut and first American acting credit for Gadot, a former model, Miss Israel, and member of the Israel Defense Forces. That same year, she appeared in an episode of Entourage, with creator Doug Ellin recently telling EW, “I remember when Gal came in, it was a small little role but everyone said, ‘This girl is gonna be something big.'” And Fast fans had the same feeling when Gisele first appeared, jumping off the screen before she even said a word.

Admittedly, Gadot isn’t given much to do in Fast 4, and actually, while she gets more in subsequent films, both her and Sung Kang specialize in doing a lot with a little. Introduced as a lieutenant for bad guy Arturo Braga, Gisele is immediately more interesting as a romantic pursuer of Dom, with Gadot managing to have great flirtatious chemistry with Diesel. This could have easily been just a one-off for the actress and character, but Gisele providing help for Dom and Brian to catch Braga opened the door for her to get the call in Fast Five, a.k.a. the greatest movie ever made (I’m going to keep mentioning it).

This is when the series basically turned into a mix of superhero movie and heist movie, and every heist movie needs an assembling the team montage, and Fast Five more than delivers on that end. Gisele is saved for last, with Dom saying they need “someone who ain’t afraid to throw down. Someone to back up every position.” She lives up to that when meeting Tej (Ludacris), Roman (Tyrese), Leo (Tego Calderon), Santos (Don Omar), and Han for the first time. After Roman attempts to hit on her and asks what time her legs open (lame pick up line), she takes out her gun and says, “They open the same time I pull this trigger. Want me to open them?” That manages to do the impossible: Shut up Roman. But the most important moment from this scene is the very brief dialogue between Gisele and Han. While Diesel and Gadot had a promising dynamic in Fast 4, he will now be paired with Elsa Pataky in Fast Five, which is a blessing in disguise since Gadot and Kang instantly become a fan favorite pairing.

The chemistry gets its first spotlight when Gisele volunteers to go with Han to capture Reyes’ handprint. They kill some recon time by perfectly reading each other, before Han is ready to give up, saying they need more guys. “Or you don’t send a man to do a woman’s job,” she declares, dropping her cover and strutting her way right up to Reyes. Yes, it’s a beautiful woman in a bikini scene, but it’s more about how beautiful and badass Gisele is, while rightfully hypnotizing Han.

Fast Five ends with Gisele in Han’s lap as they speed through Europe. She suggests Tokyo as the next destination, while he says they will get there, eventually. Well, see that’s the thing, we know he has to make it to Tokyo, because that’s where he dies — alone. But early in Fast 6, that is where we find them both, talking about settling down, until the cops arrive and they pull their guns and stand back-to-back like a badass power couple.

Then, when it seems like the team has emerged victorious, Gisele talks about settling down for good in Tokyo. Unfortunately, she will never make it there. The film’s climactic scene finds the crew trying to stop a cargo plane from taking off on the longest runway in history. “This is who we are,” declares Gisele in her soon-to-be last words. As her and Han’s car connected to both the plane and a bad guy’s car, she’s falling, with Han grabbing her and saying he’s got her. But she lets go in order to save Han’s life, shooting the bad guy on the way to her death. Would Diana do that for Steve?

This emotional goodbye hit hard, even if it was inevitable, sending Han off to Tokyo and his own death, and Gadot off to the Amazons to become Wonder Woman. Shortly after Fast 6, Gadot would sign on to play the superhero, but family always makes time for each other, so she returned from the grave for a flashback in Furious 7, which didn’t make the final cut. But in a world where deaths don’t stick (see Letty and Han), here’s to hoping we haven’t seen the last of Gadot in Fast & Furious. Hey, Diesel says some female-led spin-offs are coming, so let’s hope that Gisele prequel we’ve been asking for becomes a reality.

But, in the meantime, as Dom would say, the most important thing in life will always be the people in these movies. Right here, right now. Salud, mi familia — but especially Gisele.
