Bedanya, varian M20 menawarkan opsi penyimpanan RAM/ROM lebih tinggi hingga 4GB/64GB, sedangkan M10 mentok di 3GB/32GB. Fitur Keamanan Galaxy M10 dan M20 sama-sama tersemat fitur face unlock . Namun M20 lebih komplet berkat kehadiran sensor biometrik sidik jari. Baterai Galaxy M20 juga unggul pada sektor catu daya, dengan kapasitas 5.000mAh termasuk fitur fast charge via USB Type-C, sedangkan M10 hanya 3.400mAh tanpa teknologi pengisian cepat via microUSB. Dari sejumlah komponen di atas, Galaxy M20 lebih unggul lantaran memang versi lebih tinggi dari M10. Selain itu, M20 juga dibanderol lebih tinggi, paling mahal 12.990 Rupee (Rp2,5 juta) sedangkan M10 mentok 8.990 Rupee (Rp1,7 juta). Adapun dua seri Galaxy M baru Samsung ini diperkenalkan di India pada Senin (28/1/2019) malam. Di negara tersebut, Galaxy M10 dan M20 akan dipasarkan online melalui situs Samsung.com dan e-commerce terpilih Amazon.in mulai 5 Februari 2019.
India is a huge market for smartphones, and OEMs have been heavily competing to dominate it. Xiaomi has a huge foot in the door there, but slowly other brands such as OnePlus are making themselves known. Now, after years of not taking the budget market very seriously, Samsung hopes to make a splash with its new Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 devices.
The best gifts for Android users
Revealed earlier this morning, the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 are devices that redefine how Samsung approaches the budget smartphone market. Both of these new devices cost roughly $150 USD or less in the Indian market, and they bring a lot for that price tag too.
Looking first at the Galaxy M20, there’s a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) display which has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and an “Infinity-V” panel. Of course, that’s just marketing talk for saying that this is one of Samsung’s first smartphones with a display notch, but at least it’s a small one that’s centered on the display. On all other sides, the bezels for the Galaxy M20’s display are slim including a fairly minimal chin along the bottom.
Under the hood, the M20 offers up an Exynos 7904 processor, either 3GB/32GB of RAM and storage or 4GB/64GB, as well as a huge 5,000 mAh battery. The device itself is built from polycarbonate and includes a rear-facing fingerprint sensor as well. There’s also USB-C with fast charging. Pricing lands at Rs. 10,990, roughly $155 USD.

Turning things over to the even further budget-conscious Galaxy M10, Samsung has here lessened the spec sheet with a notable price drop too. You’ll find another “Infinity-V” display here, this time measuring in at 6.2-inches with a mere 1520×720 resolution. Still, there’s also an Exynos 7870 to power the device paired with either a 2GB/16GB or 3GB/32GB storage and RAM configuration. Notably, though, this device does lack a fingerprint sensor (face unlock is available) and still uses microUSB for charging the 3,400 mAh battery.

As far as the cameras go, both devices share identical arrays. On the back, there’s a 13MP primary shooter with an ultra-wide 5MP sensor to accompany it. Up front, there’s an 8MP shooter nestled inside of the notch. microSD expansion is available on both devices. Unfortunately, both still launch on Android 8.1 Oreo, but Pie is apparently slated for later this year.
Both the Galaxy M20 and the Galaxy M10 will be available in Black and Blue from February 5th on Samsung’s online store and Amazon.

Samsung heeft de langverwachte Galaxy M-serie aangekondigd. Het gaat om de Samsung Galaxy M10 en de M20, beide zijn goedkope Android smartphones voorzien van een groot beeldvullend display en een dubbele camera. De M20 is de meest geavanceerde telefoon van de twee, dit toestel kenmerkt zich door een grote accucapaciteit van maar liefst 5.000 mAh.
Samsung Galaxy M20 specs
Samsung heeft de M20 uitgerust met een Infinity-V display, het is de eerste Samsung smartphone met een notch. In 2019 zullen er overigens ook Galaxy A-serie smartphones geïntroduceerd worden met een inkeping bovenin het scherm, deze krijgen waarschijnlijk het Infinity-U display. De letters slaan op de vorm van de notch, de v-vormige notch is een tikje groter dan de u-vormige variant.
De Galaxy M20 is een moderne smartphone met een beeldvullend Full HD+ display van 6,3-inch. Het toestel heeft een beeldschermverhouding van 19.5:9. De Android Oreo smartphone wordt aangedreven door de nieuwe 1.8Ghz octa-core Exynos 7904 processor. Er worden twee geheugenvarianten uitgebracht, een met 3GB / 32GB geheugen en een met 4GB RAM / 64GB opslag.
Verder heeft Samsung haar nieuwe budget smartphone voorzien van een ultra-wide dual camera. Bestaande uit een 13 megapixel hoofdcamera met een diafragma van f/1.9 en een een 5 megapixel camera met een 120-graden lens, om groothoek opnames te kunnen maken. Via de voorzijde hebben gebruikers de beschikking over een 8 megapixel selfie-camera.
Om de entertainment ervaring compleet te maken is de Samsung Galaxy M20 voorzien van Dolby Atmos 360˚ surround sound, wat zorgt voor een driedimensionale geluidservaring, zowel bij het luisteren naar muziek als bij het kijken van een video.
Er zijn verschillende mogelijkheden om het toestel te beveiligen. Aan de achterzijde van de telefoon is een vingerafdrukscanner geplaatst. Daarnaast is de Galaxy M20 uitgerust met Fast Face Unlock, waardoor het mogelijk is om deze smartphone met je gezicht te ontgrendelen.
Opvallend is de enorme accucapaciteit van 5.000 mAh. Dit is een groot pluspunt van de Samsung M20. Deze smartphone is dan ook ideaal voor diegene die regelmatig tegen een lege batterij aanlopen. Het toestel ondersteunt 3x Fast Charge, waardoor de accu in een bijzonder snel tempo is bijgeladen. Met een volle accu kun je maar liefst 28 uur video’s kijken.

Met de komst van de nieuwe M-serie serie zal de bestaande J-serie komen te vervallen. Vooralsnog zijn de Galaxy M10 en M20 alleen in India aangekondigd. Of deze smartphones ook in Europa worden uitgebracht is nog onbekend.
In India kun de Galaxy M20 in twee kleuren kopen; Ocean Blue en Charcoal Black. De nieuwe budget smartphone van Samsung heeft een vanaf prijs gekregen van €140, hiervoor ontvang je het 3GB / 32GB model. Voor 4GB / 64GB betaal je €30 meer. Een zeer aanvaardbare prijs, met de M-serie lijkt Samsung dan ook een beduidend betere prijs/kwaliteit verhouding te bieden dan met de J-serie.
Overigens, Samsung heeft ook nog een Galaxy M30 in ontwikkeling, dit toestel zal waarschijnlijk ook op korte termijn aangekondigd worden. Mogelijk dat dit voorlopig de enige M-serie smartphone wordt die naar Nederland komt. Deze telefoon zal eveneens voorzien worden van een 5.000 mAh accu.

Tal como lo prometieron, hoy presentaron los dos dispositivos que liderarán sus esfuerzos en este sector: Galaxy M10 y Galaxy M20 .
Destaca la adopción del popular 'notch' , una tendencia que la compañía está experimentando por primera vez. Con este movimiento, Samsung se une a la enorme cantidad de móviles que siguieron una novedad popularizada en 2017. Cabe señalar que la muesca es en forma de gota de agua , muy similar a la del OnePlus 6T.
El Galaxy M10 es el terminal con las prestaciones más modestas. Su pantalla LCD de 6,22 pulgadas alcanza una resolución de 1520 x 720 píxeles y relación de aspecto 19,5:9. En la parte trasera encontramos una cámara dual con sensores de 13 y 5 megapíxeles (apertura f/1.9 + f/2.2) y flash LED. Es importante mencionar que este modelo no cuenta con lector de huellas dactilares .
En cuanto a potencia, integra el procesador Exynos 7870 y memoria RAM de 2 o 3 GB. La batería cumplirá las exigencias del uso intensivo, pues llega hasta 3430 mAh. Otro dato importante es que incorpora el puerto jack de 3,5 milímetros para auriculares. A continuación el resto de características técnicas:

En el Galaxy M20 vemos una propuesta más cercana a la gama media. La pantalla LCD llega hasta las 6,3 pulgadas con resolución de 2340 x 1080 píxeles y relación de aspecto 19,5:9. Las prestaciones de su cámara trasera son exactamente las mismas del Galaxy M10, pero es en la frontal donde existe una ligera diferencia: el sensor es de 8 megapíxeles con apertura f/2.0 . En la región posterior sí encontramos el lector de huellas dactilares .
Su principal novedad es el procesador Exynos 7904 , el cual fue presentado recientemente. La memoria RAM puede ser de 3 o 4GB, mientras que la batería da un salto hasta 5000 mAh con capacidad de carga rápida . El jack de 3,5 milímetros es acompañado por un puerto USB-C . Como podrás apreciar en el vídeo inferior, su diseño es prácticamente idéntico al de su hermano menor. El resto de características son las siguientes:
