Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Reveal Their Hilarious and Very Cheeky Celebrity Couple Nickname

The mystery of how Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra met is finally solved.

The former Jonas Brothers band member told the story during Friday's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Like many couples, Jonas and Chopra were connected through a friend. After the initial introduction, the two texted each other but didn't actually meet in-person until about six months later. Then, in May 2017, they attended the Met Gala together. While Jonas said the two "had a great time," he also insisted they went only as friends.

"Our lives were kind of taking us in different places," he explained to host Jimmy Fallon.

Over the next few weeks, the duo spent a lot of quality time together and started to spark romance rumors. Despite the inquiries from the media and their inner circles, Jonas continued to say their relationship was just platonic.

"People thought we were being coy, and so did we until we cut to now [and] we're engaged," he said. "So, the story sort of wrote itself."

It wasn't until about five months ago that the two decided to give a romantic relationship a try.

"It was kind of immediate, and I think we just knew it was right and jumped right in," he said. "And we're very happy."

Over the years, celebrity couples have acquired playful nicknames. From KimYe to Brangelina the list goes on.

Now that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are engaged, it’s only fitting that they have one too.

On Friday, Jonas, 25, stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to dish on his romance with Chopra, 36, and his latest song “Right Now,” which he performed at the end of the show.

“Do you guys have a celebrity nickname?” Jimmy Fallon asked the young singer. “Oh boy,” Jonas said before answering. Fallon, 43, then directed the question to Chopra, who was backstage.

“Prick!” Chopra yelled, causing the audience to erupt with laughter.

“She likes prick,” Jonas said. “I don’t like that one that much.”

Jonas told Fallon that he was quick to propose to Chopra as he knew she was the one right away.

“It was immediate. We knew it was right and just kind of jumped right in,” the singer said.

Earlier in the show, Jonas gushed over his and Chopra’s engagement party in Mumbai, India. He explained the party was a “Roka Ceremony,” which is basically an event where both families come together to approve the engagement.

The Roka took place in August and Jonas’ parents Denise and Kevin Sr. were both in attendance. For the affair, Chopra wore a bright yellow Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Couture suit. Jonas also opted for a traditional Indian ensemble.

It was also at this party that Jonas and Chopra confirmed their engagement. The lovebirds each posted adorable Instagrams, which showed the couple sweetly gazing into the other’s eyes.

“Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love,” Jonas wrote.

Chopra quickly followed behind with “Taken.. With all my heart and soul.”

Chopra also shared additional photos from the ceremony, which included shots of Jonas’ parents with her mother Madhu and her brother Siddharth.

Jonas proposed to Chopra while the two were in London for her birthday in July, PEOPLE confirmed.

Jonas even closed down a Tiffany store to buy an engagement ring, a source previously told PEOPLE.

“They are so happy,” the source added.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are fully in love, and fully committed to one another -- they just have a little work to do on their celebrity nickname.

Jonas talked about his recent engagement to the actress in an interview with "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" on Friday night, calling their engagement ceremony "beautiful" and "spiritual."

"We went to India, her home country, to Mumbai, and my parents came along, and we did thing beautiful Roka ceremony," "Basically it's a confirmation from both sides of the family that they approve of the engagement, and then there's some beautiful prayers and a connection just for the family to meet and hang out and get to know each other. I left that ceremony so full of joy."

"A little different than Jersey," Jones joked, referring to his home state.

With Jonas' parents making the trip to India, they got a chance to meet his fiancee's family for the first time.

"It was really special, and I think for she and I, I think it was just to have that time with the family first. And then be able to share it with the world."

Jonas, 25, joked that despite the beauty of the Hindu ceremony, it was a new-world feature that made them feel "official."

"We had this beautiful ceremony, and we felt so connected, and our families all met, it was spritual, and then we put it on Instagram, 'Oh my god, it's official.'"

"It's on Instagram, it's real, now we really have to do it," Fallon joked.

The couple doesn't have a celebrity nickname -- a la Kimye (Kim Kardashian and Kanye West) or the now-defunct Brangelina (Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie) -- but Chopra does have a favorite. It may need a little work though.

"She likes Prick," Jonas joked. "No, absolute no," the host responded.

"I don't like that one very much," Jonas quipped.

The camera cut to Chopra, 36, who was hiding out of sight offstage, who burst into embarrassed laughter at the suggestion.

Jonas was on the show to promote his new single, "Right Now," released on Aug. 24 with German producer and DJ Robin Schulz.

Nick Jonas says he’s ready for married life after staying mum on his whirlwind romance with Priyanka Chopra.

“We met through a friend, so we got connected first over text and we started talking for a while and it was about six months before we met up in person,” he told Jimmy Fallon on a “Tonight Show” appearance on Friday night. And even though the two sparked romance rumors after attending the Met Gala together in 2017, “now cut to we’re engaged, the story wrote itself” he said.

“We met up again, I think 5 months ago now and it was kind of immediate and we sort of jumped right in and we’re very happy,” he said.

Jonas and Chopra who got engaged over the summer held off on publicly confirming the news until both of their families united in Mumbai for a traditional Roka ceremony.

“Basically its a confirmation from both sides of the family that they approve of the engagement and then theres some beautiful prayers and connection just for athe family to have a chance to meet and hang out and get to know each other,” the “Jealous” singer explained. “It’s really incredible, we both left that ceremony full of joy.

“A little different from Jersey,” he quipped of his native state.

But the 26 year old’s millennial side showed a bit, as he said despite a beautiful ceremony, their engagement felt real once it was on Instagram.

“Its funny we had this beautiful ceremony we felt so connected, our families all met, it was spiritual and then we put it on Instagram and we were like, ‘It’s official!'”

And as for a cute couple name, Chopra — who was in the audience — unfortunately isn’t partial to Page Six’s “Jopra.”

“She likes prick!” Jonas admitted.
