Bedanya hanya dibagian jeroannya saja, di mana speknya lebih tinggi. Berdasarkan bocoran foto dari situs Slashleaks diungkap F9 Pro punya RAM 6 GB. Sementara ruang penyimpanan internalnya 64 GB dan bisa ditambah dengan menyematkan microSD. Untuk prosesornya sendiri masih mengusung Helio P20.

KOMPAS.com - Menjelang peluncuran Oppo F9 Pro pada 21 Agustus mendatang, beredar bocoran dokumen berjudul “F9 Pro Sales Pitch”. Sesuai namanya, dokumen itu berisi arahan tata cara menjual seri teranyar tersebut ke pasaran.
Pada pembukaan dokumen, tertulis tagline “it’s all about being FAST” (ini semua tentang menjadi FAST).
“FAST” di sini merupakan singkatan dari “Fashionable design” (desain modis), “Amazing charging speed” (kecepatan pengisian daya yang memukau), “Smart camera” (kamera pintar), dan “Trendy specs” (spesifikasi kekinian).
Keempat hal tersebut dijadikan bahan jualan utama F9 Pro agar menarik minat beli masyarakat. Setiap poin jualan tersebut dilengkapi petunjuk bagaimana melakukan demonya ke calon pembeli.
Selain itu, dalam dokumen dipaparkan juga sembilan alasan yang perlu disampaikan ke konsumen agar mereka berminat membeli Oppo F9 Pro.
Lantas, seperti apa penjabaran lebih lanjut dari FAST?
Fashionable design ditelurkan melalui rancangan tubuh F9 Pro yang mengandalkan “gradient colour”. Artinya, warnanya bisa berubah-ubah tergantung kondisi cahaya.
Oppo F9 Pro memiliki poni (notch) yang dirancang seperti tetesan air (water drop) pada layar 6,3 inci dengan resolusi FHD. Desain ini harus dipromosikan ke konsumen sebagai yang pertama untuk smartphone di pasaran.
Amazing charging speed diwujudkan melalui teknologi VOOC flash charge terbaru yang mampu mengisi daya selama lima menit untuk bertelepon dua jam.
Kemampuan ini pun menjadi salah satu bahan promosi. Kepada konsumen, fitur di Oppo F9 Pro ini harus disebutkan sebagai pengisian daya tercepat dan teraman di dunia.

Smart camera memadankan kamera ganda berkualitas 16 megapiksel dan 2 megapiksel. Ada beberapa filter cahaya, dukungan perekaman slow-motion, serta mode portrait pada kamera tersebut.
Kamera selfie juga dijadikan salah satu bahan jualan F9 Pro.
Disebutkan bahwa kamera depannya berkualitas 25 megapiksel dengan disematkan teknologi AI terbaru versi 2.1, sebagaimana dihimpun KompasTekno, Rabu (15/8/2018), dari GSMArena.
Trendy specs merupakan key selling points terakhir dari F9 Pro. Spesifikasi itu antara lain RAM 6 GB, memori 64 GB, serta prosesor MTK P60 yang disusun dengan arsitektur 12 nm dan memiliki fitur AI.
Bocoran cara jual yang mengungkap fitur dan spesifikasi F9 Pro ini tentu belum bisa dipercaya 100 persen. Kita tunggu saja hingga perangkat itu dirilis resmi, dan bagaimana narasi pemasarannya di berbagai channel.

Oppo has announced the F9, a phone with a notch that actually looks pretty great. Seriously, look at it — it’s smaller and less obtrusive than even the Essential Phone’s, with a speaker sleekly integrated into the top edge of the phone. It doesn’t require an extra-thick on-screen status bar, nor does it look like it was created with some sort of hole-punching device.
The notch feels like a natural part of the F9’s design, the bezel-less screen breaking away for a moment to let the selfie camera through before spilling back to the edge. Oppo has gone to great lengths to eliminate the notch with the ultra high-end Find X, of course, but the F9 is the first time I’d say a phone looks straight-up better with its notch than it would without.
The F9 is attractive from the other side, too. Like several other Oppo phones, it uses colorful gradients — my unit is “Twilight Blue,” which goes from electric blue to almost black — but the F9 sets itself apart with a sweeping diamond-like pattern that’s only visible from certain angles. It’s hard to photograph, but I did my best.
This isn’t a flagship phone in terms of specs, however. The processor is an eight-core Mediatek Helio P60, the screen is a 19.5:9 1080p LCD, and the 3,500mAh battery charges over MicroUSB — though it does at least use Oppo’s VOOC fast-charging tech, which is the same thing as OnePlus’ Dash Charge. (I’m not just saying that — I put a VOOC Micro USB cable into the Dash charger that came with the OnePlus 6, and sure enough it fast-charged the F9 with an onscreen VOOC logo.)
Will the OnePlus 6T have the same notch?
The F9’s primary camera is a 16-megapixel f/1.9 module with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor used for backup information, while the selfie camera is 25 megapixels at f/2.0. There’s a headphone jack, a microSD slot, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It’s also the first phone to use Gorilla Glass 6, which is supposed to survive up to 15 drops from one meter, which I have not tested.
The F9 is launching in India and Southeast Asian markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. It’s also coming to Middle East/North Africa markets such as Egypt and Morocco. Pricing information isn’t yet available.
Meanwhile, a similar phone for China, the R17, is set to launch later this week with higher specs including an OLED screen, a Snapdragon 670 processor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The connection between OnePlus and Oppo can be overstated, but it’s true that the two companies cooperate with supply chain resources and often end up using similar components. The OnePlus 6 has the same screen and notch design as the Oppo R15 Pro, for example — so could a presumed 6T end up with a notch like the F9 and R17’s later this year?
Oppo will launch the highly anticipated smartphone from its F-series today. The Oppo F9, a smartphone designed to delight selife lovers, will launch today in Vietnam. Interestingly, this is the first smartphone from Oppo that has a parallel diversification with a Pro version. The Oppo F9 Pro, as the name implies, may have slightly more powerful and better specifications than Oppo F9. The company, however, is launching only the standard variant of the Oppo F9 today, on August 15 at 5 PM (3 PM IST).
The Oppo F7 launched in March this year. In other words, the predecessor to Oppo F9 never had much time in the real world before the next version arrived. Interestingly, the smartphone is expected to launch in India soon. This might mean Oppo is choosing separate markets for the Oppo F9 and its Pro version.
Several details about the hardware, as well as the specifications of the Oppo F9, have regularly surfaced through leaks. However, Oppo could offer more details with regards to the availability of the smartphone at the launch. Oppo F9: Specifications and Features
The Oppo F9 smartphone sports a 6.3-inch LTPS TFT LCD display panel with 1080×2280 Full HD+ resolution, and 19:9 aspect ratio. It doesn’t have a notch. Even better, it has a tiny island at the top of the screen that houses the front camera. Although the screen-to-body ratio isn’t yet known, it could easily be higher than 90 percent owing to the design.
An octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 12nm processor clocked at 2.0GHz will power the smartphone. The chipset is paired with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU clocked at 800 MHz. The mobile phone will be available in two configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. Buyers can extend the storage on the Oppo F9 up to 256GB via micro-SD card.
The Oppo F9 will feature a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the rear. The primary 16MP sensor is coupled with an f/1.85 aperture. The smartphone has a large 25-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It is coupled with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera has AI-powered features like scene detection and Portrait Mode.
Connectivity features on the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, USB OTG support, and 4G VoLTE. A fingerprint scanner is present on the back of the device. The mobile packs a sufficiently large 3,500mAh battery. Interestingly, the smartphone has support for VOOC fast charging that allows users to gain 2 hours of talk time from just a quick 5-minute charge.
The upcoming Oppo flagship smartphone will run on the Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS v5.2 out of the box. Incidentally, this will be the first device to get the new ColorOS version. The details about the latest version aren’t yet available.
Oppo F9: Price and Availability
The Oppo F9 launch in Vietnam is the first international announcement of the device. Interestingly, along with the launch today, Oppo will begin taking pre-orders for the same. The last date for placing the pre-order is August 24.
Oppo hasn’t yet confirmed the pricing of its latest flagship smartphone. Oppo F9’s predecessor, the Oppo F7, starts at Rs. 17,314 in India. The Oppo F9 may sport a higher price tag. Smartphone enthusiasts expect the flagship smartphone may cost Rs. 29,990 in India. However, this is mere speculation.

Oppo could confirm pricing and availability of the smartphone in other markets at the launch. Anyways, the device’s pricing in Vietnam should be a good indicator about price range in which the device may launch in other countries. Oppo has priced its smartphones quite attractively in the past, and the F9 may not be an exception. If the company prices the smartphone below Rs. 30K, it will compete with the ASUS ZenFone 5Z and the Honor 10.
