Frankfurt - Bayern Munchen mencatat tiga rekor saat mengalahkan Eintracht Frankfurt, 5-0, pada laga Piala Super Jerman yang berlangsung di Commerzbank Arena, Frankfurt, Minggu (12/8/2018) waktu setempat.
Bayern Munchen turun dengan susunan pemain terbaik. Pelatih Niko Kovac yang merupakan mantan pelatih Eintracht Frankfurt langsung memainkan beberapa pilar penting seperti Thomas Muller, Robert Lewandowski, maupun Mats Hummels.
Hasilnya, Lewandowski langsung mencetak tiga gol masing-masing pada menit ke-21, 26, dan 54. Dua gol lain disumbangkan Kingsley Coman (63) dan Thiago Alcantara (85).
Tiga gol Lewandowski itu juga menjadi rekor tersendiri. Sejak Piala Super Jerman digelar, belum ada satu pun pemain yang mampu mencetak tiga gol dalam satu pertandingan.
Sementara itu, Bayern Munchen juga mencatat rekor. Bayern Munchen menjadi tim yang menang dengan margin lima gol, sekaligus meraih gelar ketiga secara beruntun di Piala Super Jerman.

FULL TIME: Bayern win 5-0! No more goals in this match, but plenty of drama: Thomas Müller had to separate Lewandowski from Abraham after the final whistle. After a few more words with the referee, he seems content to enjoy the towering victory. But he clearly is worse for the wear after that elbow to his jaw: either he has some cotton balls in his mouth or his jaw is swollen after the hit from Abraham’s elbow.
89’ — Wagner with a near miss: Joshua Kimmich battles his way to the goal line before sending Wagner a cross to put into the net, but Wagner stumbles into the ball rather than strike it and it rolls wide outside the net.
85’ — GOAL THIAGO! Bayern have collapsed into a 4-4-1, with Leon Goretzka playing left-back in Alaba’s absense, but that’s no reason not to attack! Kingsley Coman makes a break on the right and manages to drive the ball deep into Eintracht’s penalty area. He is tackled, but manages to spring over the defender at his feet, recover the ball, and deliver a pass to Thiago just as the midfielder runs into the box to join the attack. Thiago does not miss: Bayern 5-0.

79’ — INJURY: The game is over for David Alaba. Two of Bayern’s medical staff helped the injured player leave down the tunnel for treatment. Bayern have already used their three substitutes, so they will play out the game with ten men.
76’ — SUBSTITUTION: Jovic replaces Haller. David Alaba was treated on the pitch and limped away after he was tackled hard by Danny da Costa. Bayern are playing with 10 men in the meantime.
72’ — SUBSTITUTION: Sandro Wagner for Lewandowski. Before the squabble on the pitch even ends, Wagner replaces Lewandowski, who is still jawing at the line referee.
70’ — Yellow Card: Abraham. A scuffle breaks out on the pitch: Abraham throws an elbow at Lewandwoski on an aerial challenge, and Ribery rushes into the fray in Lewandowski’s defense. The players clash and Abraham ultimately sees yellow.
69’ — Ribery breaks away with the ball and passes out wide to Coman. Coman has Lewandowski and Ribery as targets, but he sends a pass to no one just past the net and out of bounds.
64’ — SUBSTITUTIONS: Leon Goretzka for Thomas Müller. Danny Blum for Guzman, and Ante Rebic for Fabian.
63’ — GOAL KINGSLEY COMAN! Bayern make it 4-0, as Alaba cross the ball right across the face of Eintracht’s goal. Kingsley Coman’s swift feet bring him to the ball just in time to hammer it into the net.

62’ — Bayern with a penalty scare: Sebastien Haller drives into the penalty area unmarked and is met by a swarm of defenders. Haller goes down — was he fouled? It isn’t clear, but the referee allows play to continue. No penalty.
60’ — Fabian manages to break away with the ball, but Alaba tracks back in time to block his shot. Eintracht squander the ensuing corner.
57’ SUBSTITUTION: COMAN FOR ROBBEN. And an instant later Lewandowski takes yet another strong shot at goal, this time saved by Rönnow.
54’ — GOAL BAYERN 3-0! And just like that, Robert Lewandowski answers Abraham’s provocations with his third goal: Thomas Müller finds the striker with a lateral pass from the right. Abraham throws himself at Lewandowski, but the Pole slips by him and scores easily past Rönnow. It’s a hat-trick.
52’ — After clashing in the penalty area, Eintracht’s Abraham levels Lewandowski outside the box with a moderate body check. The referee ignores the shenanigans, though, much to Leawndowski’s chagrin. He gives the line referee a piece of his mind.
48’ — Bayern threaten early in the second half. After Rönnow blocks a corner at the near post, he is forced to make a spectacular save, as Robben fires a long-range shot off a would-be assist from Müller. Rönnow manages to send the ball wide of the net. A near miss.
HALFTIME — At halftime, Bayern have 75% possession yet only 5 shots (to Eintracht’s 4). The only two shots on target in the game, however, were Robert Lewandowksi’s goals.
45’ — Yellow card: Mats Hummels. Hummels brings down Gacinovic as he streaks toward Bayern’s penalty area. Hummels poked the ball away with his toe, but the tackle brought Gacinovic down hard. The referee serves him a yellow card.
36’ — Thwarted in his efforts to get an assist twice within seconds, Thomas Müller takes a well-placed shot from the edge of the penalty area, but it flies out of bounds just wide of the top left corner of the goal.
31’ — Eintracht attempt multiple times to break through Bayern’s defense in the penalty area, but come up short as Alaba finally intercepts and clears the ball.
29’ — Fabian playing with fire: Lewandowski goes down in the penalty area on what looks like a foul by his Mexican adversary, but the referee makes no call and the game continues.
26’ — GOAL BAYERN! 2-0 After scuffling with Eintracht’s captain Abraham and Hasebe, and receiving a slap to the face from Fabian, Lewandowski answers with a goal, scoring another header past Rönnow off an assist by Arjen Robben. Don’t touch the goods, folks.

18’ — Javi Martinez hits the ground after a hard, late challenge by Haller. The referee has a word with Haller, who then apologizes to the Spaniard.
16’ — Kimmich nutmegs a defender to serve the ball to Robben inside the penalty arc, but the Dutchman is stopped by a triple-team of defenders.
15’ — Eintracht are making things uncomfortable for Bayern. A corner kick finds Torro at the far post, but David Alaba blocks his header out of bounds. Guzman takes a second corner that comes to nothing.
6’ — Ribery bulldozes Fabian, awarding Eintracht a relatively dangerous free kick outside the box on the right side of the pitch. Abraham connects with the ball, but heads it very high and outside.
Kickoff! — Bayern begin in control of the ball, but have struggled to bring the ball forward through Eintracht’s midfield press. A long ball to Ribery looked promising in the 4’ minute, but Eintracht defused the threat.
5’ to kickoff! — The teams emerge from the tunnel onto the pitch for the opening ceremonies.

Eintracht is a new team this year after the departures of Kevin-Prince Boateng, Omar Mascarell, and Marius Wolf, not to mention goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky. Frederik Rönnow is making his debut. The biggest surprise, however, is the absence of Ante Rebic, who was heavily courted during the transfer window only to extend with Eintracht in the end. Sebastian Haller will play striker supported by Mijat Gacinovic and Mexican international Marco Fabian.

The first official lineup of Niko Kovac’s tenure at Bayern Munich is as conservative as could be: Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben start in their customary positions on either side of Robert Lewandowski, while Thomas Müller plays behind the striker. Thiago Alcantara and Javi Martinez constitute a double pivot, and the only semi-novelty in the back four is the inclusion of Niklas Süle for Jerome Boateng. But since Boateng is said to be struggling with a patella injury, even that move is completely predictable. How the team will play in practice, and at what point in the game Kovac may substitute the dynamic winger Kingsley Coman on, remain to be seen.
In a somewhat poetic trick of fate, Niko Kovac faces his first stern test as Bayern Munich manager against the team who he left in order to join the Bavarians. Eintracht Frankfurt arguably owe their presence in this fixture to their former manager, but that doesn’t mean that they will make it easy for him. Niko Kovac or not, this is still the team that trumped Jupp Heynckes’ Bayern in the DFB Pokal finale last year, and the hero of that final — Ante Rebic — is still among them.
Bayern Munich will be without Corentin Tolisso, who is still on holiday from the World Cup, but apart from that the team is at near full strength. James Rodriguez remains doubtful, but Serge Gnabry has reportedly recovered from an injury he sustained in last week’s friendly against Manchester United. The likes of Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, and Mats Hummels are all fit and ready to go - but since this isn’t as important as a “real” fixture, maybe Kovac could surprise us. All we know is this. It’s been a while, but now ...
