Seven months after her gender affirmation, pop hitmaker Teddy Geiger made her official red carpet debut as female at the 66th annual BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old producer-songwriter bared her arms in a belted, black-patterned cocktail dress with matching clutch, and patent leather ankle-strap heels.
The New York-born singer - who announced she began hormone replacement therapy on November 9 - also rocked a raven fringed bob, smoky eyes, statement earrings, and glasses.

Geiger - who later Insta-storied her cheesy patty melt in bed - has penned and produced songs for 5 Seconds of Summer, Lizzo, DNCE, Maroon 5, One Direction, and James Blunt.
'I'm so grateful to be going through this process with her because I'm learning so much from it,' Shawn Mendes told Zane Lowe's Beats 1 on Apple Music show last month.
'If that was any other person it was like my head's exploding, I'm getting out of this room. The fact that she was able to take everything I was saying and just digest it all and make it all me, is genius.'

The 19-year-old Canadian crooner said of his frequent collaborator: 'I wish everyone could experience this, because if they did, there would be no questions. There would be no "I don't get it" no confusion about the process.'

The former Royal Pains actor first found fame back in 2004 as a 'Keith Partridge finalist' on the VH1 reality competition pilot In Search of the Partridge Family, which never got picked up to series.
Fans can next hear Teddy's work on the single Unless It's With You on Christina Aguilera's eighth studio album Liberation, which hits shelves June 15.

Teddy Geiger has returned to the spotlight.
Six months after coming out as trans, Geiger, 29, made her public debut Tuesday night at the 2018 BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills.
Geiger — who was honored for her work cowriting Shawn Mendes‘s hits “Mercy” and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” — wore a patterned black dress, black pumps and glasses and wore her recently grown-out hair down in casual waves.
The singer-songwriter first announced her transition in October on Instagram.

“Okay… because u asked nicely… I am transitioning,” Geiger wrote at the time. “I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it’s given me the courage to start the process. I feel like the next step is to tell all y’all. So here goes. Love it or hate this is who i have been for a looooong time.”
In November, Geiger revealed she had begun hormone replacement therapy, then a few weeks later, she confirmed that she prefers female pronouns and will keep the name Teddy. And since coming out in the fall, Geiger has subtly documented her transition on social media.

Geiger was discovered on VH1’s 2004 reality competition In Search of the Partridge Family and went on to tour with Hilary Duff and release the 2006 album Underage Thinking, which included the Top 40 single “For You I Will (Confidence).” And these days she’s a go-to Hollywood songwriter, having worked with everyone from Maroon 5 to Mendes.
“I’m so grateful to be going through this process with her because I’m learning so much from it,” the young pop star, 19, said in an interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe. “I wish everyone could experience this, because if they did, there would be no questions. … There would be no ‘I don’t get it,’ no confusion about the process.”

Geiger was honored at the ceremony for her role in co-writing Shawn Mendes' hit tracks "Mercy" and "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back." Although this is her first time at an event since coming out, Geiger has been active on Instagram, posting selfies, photos of nature and subtle updates on her transition.
Back in October, the songwriter took to the platform to announce the new step in her life, posting a screenshot of a reply to a comment asking why she looks different lately. TEDDY Geiger has walked the red carpet for the first time since revealing her gender transition last year.
The singer-songwriter, 29, attended the 2018 BMI Pop Awards in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Geiger was honoured at the ceremony for her co-writing on Shawn Mendes’ hits Mercy and There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.
Last October Geiger confirmed to a fan on Instagram that she was transitioning into a woman after they questioned why she looked different.
“Okay … because u asked nicely … I am transitioning,” Geiger explained.
“I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it’s given me the courage to start the process. I feel like the next step is to tell all y’all. So here goes. Love it or hate this is who I have been for a looooong time.”

Since then Geiger has shared frequent updates on her transition to Instagram, revealing in November she had begun hormone therapy.
The singer has also said she would like to be referred to using female pronouns but will keep her first name Teddy.
Geiger is most famous for her 2006 hit For You I Will (Confidence), but in recent years has turned to songwriting for the likes of Maroon 5 and Shaun Mendez.
