BTS Announces World Tour With Stops In Six North American Cities

Korean boy band BTS surprised ARMY around the world today (April 26) with the news of their upcoming Love Yourself world tour. The Korean septet shared the announcement via their company’s Twitter account, and shared dates for shows in 11 cities throughout Asia, North America, and Europe, with the promise of more shows getting announced in the future.

The Love Yourself tour will follow the release of next month’s Love Yourself: Tear album, which is slated to be released on May 18. The concert series will kick off with two shows in Seoul on August 25 and 26, then head to Los Angeles for three shows at the Staples Center during the first week of September. The record-breaking group will also perform in four other Stateside cities plus one Canadian one throughout September and October before heading to London, Amsterdam, and Berlin.

A total of 22 shows are currently announced.

The group last toured internationally following the release of their Wings album. The Wings tour consisted of 40 shows throughout cities in Asia, South and North Americas, and Australia.

Along with the Twitter announcement, BTS shared a YouTube video trailer to announce the Love Yourself tour.

ARMY Around the Globe React to BTS' Love Yourself World Tour Announcement

Korean septet BTS announced their upcoming Love Yourself world tour on Thursday (April 25), surprising fans around the world with the news of more than 20 shows set to be held throughout Asia, North America and Europe, plus the promise of more dates to come.

It will be the first tour from the boy band since they set multiple Billboard records with their Love Yourself: Her and Face Yourself albums and saw "DNA" and "Mic Drop (remix)" with Steve Aoki and Desiigner certified gold by the RIAA. It will be preceded by the release of next month’s Love Yourself: Tear album.

Anticipation is building for BTS’ upcoming world tour, and the official hashtag #Love_Yourself, plus several other related ones, trended worldwide following the news. Here’s what some of their fans, known collectively as ARMY, had to say.

European ARMY, rejoice – BTS are on their way.

BTS have announced their LOVE YOURSELF tour, and it’s coming to London.

Pause for screaming.

RM, V, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook will be performing at London’s O2 Arena this October.

The DNA hitmakers have announced two dates on 9 and 10 October at the O2, marking their first ever performance in Britain.

This will be followed up with dates in Amsterdam on 13 October, Berlin on 16 and 17 October, and Paris on 19 and 20 October.

The hugely exciting news was announced via BTS’s agency BigHit Entertainment, with the tour also including dates in Seoul, Los Angeles, Oakland, Fort Worth, Hamilton, Newark and Chicago.

Even more dates are set to be announced, with the tour kicking off in August.

The tour will come after the release of the K-pop band’s new album Love Yourself: Tear.

BTS will be performing on 20 May at the Billboard Music Awards, where they will debut a new song.
