Arsenal welcome back Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil back for their Europa League semi-final first leg against Atletico Madrid.

Wilshere and Ozil missed Sunday's win over West Ham as they were given time to recover from ankle, hip injuries and illness respectively. Sead Kolasinac (ankle) is also available.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (knee), Mohamed Elneny (ankle) and Santi Cazorla (Achilles) remain sidelined, however, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is ineligible.

Atletico coach Diego Simeone insists Diego Costa is fit and ready to "intimidate" Arsenal.

Former Chelsea striker Costa scored three times in six games against the Gunners during his time at Stamford Bridge, including the equaliser in last season's FA Cup final which Arsenal went on to win 2-1.

The Spain international always seemed to be able to rile the Arsenal defence and was directly involved in red cards issued to Gabriel and Per Mertesacker during separate clashes between the teams.

Arsenal XI: Ospina; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Ramsey, Xhaka, Wilshere; Ozil, Lacazette, Welbeck.

Atletico Madrid XI: Oblak; Vrsaljko, Gimenez, Godin, Lucas; Correa, Thomas, Saul, Koke; Griezmann, Gameiro.

Further changes have been confirmed to the regulations of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, and they will be applied from the start of next season.

Arsene Wenger will take charge of his final home European game as Arsenal manager when his side take on Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-final.

The Europa League remains the Gunners' last hope of getting back into the Champions League next term as well as Wenger's last shot at leaving the club with a trophy in his 22nd and final campaign in north London.

Atletico though remain the favourites to win the tournament outright and will travel to the Emirates determined to build a first leg advantage with stars including Antoine Griezmann and Diego Costa in their ranks.
