It looks like an airport station you might see in Hong Kong or Amsterdam - but it could become reality in Manchester.
This footage, commissioned by Greater Manchester Combined Authority , shows how a £400m HS2 hub at Manchester Airport could look.
Sited opposite the hub, on the other side of the M56, it features a huge and spacious glass building.
From the airport, a tunnel section would take the route into Manchester Piccadilly , with a 67-minute journey from London to Manchester in place by 2033.
It is thought a station at Manchester Airport would cost around £400m. But a row is rumbling over who should pay - with the Government seeking ‘local contribution’ from Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Manchester Airports Group and other private funders.
Sean Anstee, leader of Trafford Council , said: “Trafford is the economic engine room for Greater Manchester. The development of the HS2 Manchester Airport station within the borough will provide a further boost to the vibrant local economy, while respecting the outstanding natural and historical assets.”
He stressed the importance of residents benefiting from the jobs and skills HS2 ’s construction would offer.
Jake Berry, minister for the Northern Powerhouse, said: “It’s not just about getting from London to Manchester in one hour and seven minues - it’s about super-connecting this city and connecting this city and our region with the world by building a station at Manchester Aiprort.
“If you look at the recent flights that have opened between Manchester Airport and Beijing that is paying a dividend, not just in the future, but today.
“We have already increased the amount that’s exported from this region directly to Beijing by over 200 per cent in just one year. With HS2 connected in with the wider transport network across the north, we will ensure our exporting economy continues to grow.”
Direct HS2 services will also serve Liverpool, Warrington, Wigan, Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme, Penrith and Carlisle and onwards to Scotland.
HS2 Ltd plan to deposit an HS2 hybrid bill in parliament in 2019.

Many of us have woken up to MORE snow this morning as a cold snap dubbed the 'mini Beast from the East' continues to sweep across the country.
Light flurries fell over the city late on Saturday night and on into Sunday morning, with temperatures dipping to around -2C.
And the ‘feels like temperature’ has dropped to a bitter -10C in parts of Greater Manchester.
Motorists are warned to avoid the roads where possible and take extra care while out and about.
Forecasters say most places are likely to see some wintry showers by the end of the day, with gusty winds bringing more bitterly cold temperatures.
The snow's expected to continue for the rest of Sunday morning.
Are you out in the snow?

Manchester Airport is a major international airport around eight miles south of the city. It is the third busiest airport in Britain after Gatwick and Heathrow, handling tens of millions of passengers each year with direct flights all over the world. Booking.com guest review guidelines
Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This lets us know that our reviews come from real guests, like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or quiet room than someone who’s stayed at the property before?
We want you to share your story, both the good and the bad. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
Reviews vision
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinion and experiences, which are critical in helping guests make well-informed decisions about where to stay.
Reviews principles
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, and are treated with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after being moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
Once a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We will use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content as well as the property replies to that content.
We will allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. Booking.com’s role is that of a distributor of feedback from both guest and property.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc...).
