Jeremy McConnell looks very different to the model hunk who rose to fame after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother .

The Irish model, 27, broke down on tears as he appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show today.

He admitted that his TV career was over and refused to look at a picture of his son as he cried over the path his life has taken.

No topic was off limits as presenter Jeremy Kyle grilled McConnell over assaulting ex Stephanie Davis at her home in Liverpool while she was holding their baby son.

Jeremy has had a tumultuous couple of years since meeting former Hollyoaks actress Steph on CBB .

Despite being in a relationship with someone on the outside world, Steph fell for Jeremy's handsome looks and cheeky Irish charm.

But things didn't end well.

They continued their relationship on the outside but split a couple of months later.

She then discovered she was pregnant and he claimed she was lying, later denying he was the father when it turned out that Steph really was pregnant.

After discovering that he was Caben-Albi's father, Jez swore he'd turn his life around, and the couple reunited.

But Jeremy was then convicted of assault against Steph.

He was sentenced to community service, then sent to prison after breaking his conditions.

Jeremy admits his fame has faded now that 'no one would touch him with a 10ft pole'.

But his looks have faded too.

Jeremy looked happy and healthy when he entered the CBB house in 2016.

He had gleaming white teeth and steely blue eyes and a bouncy quiff of hair on his head.

The model smiled from ear-to-ear as he made his way into the famous house, unaware of the massive changes to come in his life.

And today on Jeremy Kyle, Jeremy looked drained and deflated.

The fuller-faced star looked unhappy and appears to not be taking as much pride in his appearance as he once did.

Since his CBB days, he's also had hair transplants, added to his tattoo collection, including a crucifix on his cheek, and had surgery to repair the damage done to his septum by years of cocaine abuse.

In February, it was revealed that Jeremy had flown to Poland for an emergency Danniella Westbrook-style nose job after years of cocaine abuse.

In a picture, exclusively obtained by Mirror Online, he was pictured with his face bandaged up after having the procedure to repair his septum following historic use of the Class-A drug.

It had been shared on Snapchat by one of his friends, but deleted within seconds.

His pal made a joke about his face as he captioned the pic: "When ur mates gets lippy over who paid for the packet of Monster Munch in Centra" [sic]

A source close to the tattooed star, who's been dubbed a deadbeat dad, told us: "It was due to years of abuse of alcohol and other substances. It's to repair his septum.

"He really is the male version of Danniella Westbrook ."

Former EastEnders star Danniella had to have her nose repaired after her septum disintegrated after heavy cocaine abuse.

She was infamously pictured leaving the Soap Awards in 2000 with what looked like one big nostril.

And it's understood that Jeremy, 27, has undergone a similar procedure that Danniella did in order to avoid the same thing happening to his nose.

Ex-coke addict Jeremy has previously opened up about using the drug to another newspaper.

Jeremy McConnell could end up "begging on the street" as his worried pals point out he has no life skills - after he vows to quit showbiz and focus on seeing his toddler son Caben-Albi.

The shamed Celebrity Big Brother star has nothing to fall back on after giving up the spotlight, telling Jeremy Kyle on today's show that the only way to resume contact with his boy is to get out of the fame game now that the job offers have dried up.

But friends warn he could end up homeless and begging for money as he's so useless.

"Jeremy has no qualifications or profession, he can't even use the washing machine," a pal exclusively reveals to Mirror Online. "He can't make the bed - let alone do a 9 to 5 job.

(Image: ITV)

"Look at his community service, he was completely useless.

"We are all so worried he will become homeless as despite what he said on Jeremy Kyle we know if he has any savings they are running out fast."

The 28-year-old tattooed thug had previously burnt bridges with friends who gave him a roof over his head while he was doing community service in Cardiff for violently beating his ex, Stephanie Davis - and he repaid them by smearing his own excrement over his bedroom during a five-day bender.

"He betrayed pals by leaving their flat in a state, he can't cook or clean. Everyone is so worried he is going to end begging in the streets, which is such a shame as it's a huge fall from grace for the model who could have cut glass with his jawline," our source continued.

"Now he's just a former drug addict with a criminal record. We all want the best for Jeremy but he needs some serious life skills."

However, a separate source claims Jeremy has had job offers.

Jeremy had previously dabbled in semi-professional football before turning to modelling and fame.

His first TV stint was on MTV's Beauty School Cop Out, where he starred opposite Scarlett Moffatt (and even snogged her for a dare.

(Image: MTV)

His next brush with public attention came in January 2016 when he entered the CBB house - and met Stephanie, who fell pregnant with their child just three months later.

Since then, Jez's life has gone from bad to worse, as a cocaine addiction left him spiralling out of control and becoming increasingly paranoid.

He was convicted in August 2017 of attacking Steph at her home in Liverpool while she was holding Caben, then eight weeks old, in her arms.

The court heard how he furiously accused her of having affairs with friends and neighbours while inflicting bruises and a bite mark on her skin.

The shamed reality star showed a glimmer of remorse today as he broke down on the Jeremy Kyle Show under questions from the presenter about his future.

The ex- CBB star admitted that there were legal channels available to him to establish contact with his son, but that he hadn't got round to doing so.

Asked how he was going to provide a future for Caben, he said: "I think the best way to do this is to get out of the game. Obviously the job offers - I'm not coming on here for damage control, I know my career's over on TV, no-one's going to touch me with a 10ft pole.

"My name is tarnished, I accept that."

A statement from Jeremy claimed he would no longer be speaking about Steph as he takes his bow from the public stage.

"Thank you to Jeremy Kyle for allowing me to speak on the show," he said.

"This is the last time I am going to speak publicly about my previous relationship, it is a line under this part of my life and hopefully everyone can move on.

"My focus is getting my self on track so I can see my son," he added.

Mirror Online has contacted Jeremy's rep for comment.

JEREMY McConnell has barely been out of the headlines since he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.

He recently revealed he wants to be a dad again and discussed his situation with Steph Davis on the celebrity edition of Jeremy Kyle- here is what we know about the troubled star...

Rex Features Jeremy McConnell is an Irish model and reality star

Who is Jeremy McConnell, how old is he and what's his background?

Jeremy McConnell was born in Dublin in 1990.

At first, he wanted to pursue a career in football and dropped out of school at 17 to follow his dream.

Unfortunately, a career on the football pitch never materialised for the party-loving Irishman.

Jeremy, now 27, grew up with his mum in County Wicklow after his parents separated when he was one-year-old.

Sadly, his mother died of a brain haemorrhage when Jeremy was 15.

More sadness was to follow as within the space of 15 months, Jeremy's older brother died in a motorbike accident and he lost his sister to a heart attack.

On that period in his life, Jeremy said: "Of course I miss them, I loved them dearly, but I think that’s what levelled me out a bit – I express myself the way I want to. I just grew up really fast. I don’t really give a s***.

“I don’t take life seriously whatsoever – it is what it is. I do what I want."

Sadly Jeremy suffered more heartbreak when his father and aunt died within days of each other in March 2017.

Jeremy McConnell is an Irish model and won the title of Mr Dublin in 2012.

Here, Jeremy bumped into another reality show favourite, Scarlett Moffatt, who he enjoyed a snog with during a game of Truth or Dare.

In January 2016, Jeremy then starred in Celebrity Big Brother alongside Stephanie Davis.

The pair then became embroiled in a very controversial relationship as she was already in a relationship with model Sam Reece at the time.

What is Jeremy's relationship with Stephanie Davis?

Stephanie and Jeremy have a very tumultuous on-off relationship.

The pair stepped out of the Celebrity Big Brother house as a couple before they called it quits after a couple of months amid reports of cheating.

They split before Steph announced that she was pregnant with his baby.

Throughout her pregnancy, Jeremy denied that he was the father and demanded a paternity test.

After her son, Caben-Albi was born, fans were convinced that he was the spitting image of Jeremy.

He then went on to take a paternity test live on This Morning before later confirming that he was the dad on social media.

In February 2017, The Sun revealed that the pair were back together as they decided to "give romance another go" - but they have been very on-then-off again.

They are no longer a couple.

During a celebrity episode of The Jeremy Kyle Show, Jeremy revealed that he considers himself to be a "good father", despite not having seen his son for eight months. He insisted he "never wanted a broken relationship" with Steph and their son is his last remaining link to his late parents.

In February 2018, it was revealed that no further action would be taken over an alleged attack by Stephanie on Jeremy.

Davis was arrested on suspicion of GBH in July last year over claims she had attacked the former Celebrity Big Brother star at a North London hotel.

McConnell was pictured with bruising around his face in the hours after the arrest.

A spokeswoman said: "Police in Enfield were called to a hotel in The Ridgeway, EN2 at 23:00hrs on Sunday, 2 July following reports of an assault.

"Officers attended and arrested a 24-year-old woman on suspicion of GBH. She has since been released facing no further action.

"The victim was treated at the scene and did not attend hospital."

At the time police said Davis had been taken to a North London police station after being treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Breaking down as he saw a picture of his son, McConnell said: "It’s sad when you show me. Because I look to him and that’s the link to my mum and dad."
