But before we get all excited about seeing the bride-to-be all decked up, do we even know who Shloka Mehta is? Here's a lowdown on everything we know so far about Akash Ambani's would-be wife:
Shloka is the daughter of Russell Mehta, the head of Rosy Blue Diamonds--formerly known as B Arunkumar & Co--ranked among the top six diamond companies of India.
Shloka is the youngest of three children at home.
She met Akash while studying at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai.
After finishing school at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, she went on to study Anthropology at Princeton University.
One of Shloka's biggest hobbies is reading.
Shloka did her Masters in Law at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
Since July 2014, Shloka has also been the director of Rosy Blue Foundation.
Having always been interested in social work, Shloka co-founded ConnectFor, an organisation that matches volunteers with NGOs that need them.
Engagement
The couple reportedly got engaged in a private ceremony in Goa.
Akash Ambani, eldest son of Indian billionaire and chief of Reliance Industries Limited, Mukesh Ambani, has been engaged to Shloka Mehta, daughter of diamond magnate and MD of the Rosy Blue empire, Russell Mehta.
Previously known as B Arunkumar & Co, Rosy Blue is ranked among the top six diamond companies of India.
It has been reported that Akash proposed to Shloka at a private ceremony in Goa on Saturday. According to reports, Akash (27) and Shloka studied together in Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai.
The couple later went their separate ways where Akash completed his major in economics from Brown University, USA and Shloka did her Masters in Law at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
Shloka, youngest of the three Mehta’s, is director of Rosy Blue Foundation and the co-founder of ConnectFor, an organisation that matches volunteers with NGOs that need them. Shloka’s elder sister Diya recently married business tycoon Amit Jaiya’s (of Hardcastle Restaurants) son Ayush Jatia.
Akash currently heads strategy at Jio, Reliance Industry’s 4G service provider.
Akash’s twi Isha Ambani is the co-founder of Jio and also heads Reliance Retail, which is the largest retailer in Indian in terms of revenue and is partners with big brands such as Marks and Spencer, Kenneth Cole, Muji, Steve Madden, Hamleys, Hunkemoller and Superdry.
Shloka’s mother Mona Mehta is reportedly related to fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi, key accused in the Rs. 14,500 Punjab National Bank scam. Further, it was also reported that in December 2016, Mukesh Ambani’s neice Ishita Salgaonkar got married to Nirav’s brother, Nishaal Modi.

New Delhi, March 25: Akash Ambani, the scion of India’s richest family got engaged to Shloka Mehta the youngest daughter of Russell Mehta, Managing Director, Rosy Blue India, one of the country’s leading diamond companies. The duo were engaged at a private ceremony in the presence of family members and close friends in Goa.
Though, there has been no official statement on the marriage from the families yet, a local news website Nagpur Today has claimed that the wedding ceremony had been planned for later this year.

Ambanis and Mehtas are family friends:
The Ambanis and Mehtas reportedly know each. Akash and Shloka had also studied together at Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Speaking to PTI, a source close to the family said, “No dates of either the wedding or engagement of Akash Ambani have been finalised. As and when any good news is to be shared, the family will be delighted to share with everyone.”
Who is Shloka Mehta?
Shloka is the youngest of three children of Russell Mehta, head of Rosy Blue Diamonds, formerly known as B. Arunkumar & Co., which is now ranked among the top half dozen diamond companies of India.
She is the director of Rosy Blue Foundation since July 2014.
She is an avid reader and has always been interested in social work.
After finishing schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in 2009, she went on to study Anthropology at Princeton University.

Mukesh Ambani's elder son Akash Ambani is set to marry Shloka Mehta, youngest daughter of Russel Mehta. In an interview to a newspaper, Akash's mother confirmed that the they are set to marry soon."I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts." The media reports also said that the Ambani-Mehta engagement happened in Goa on Saturday in a slight hush hush affair. The wedding is likely to take place in December. Some photographs stand testimony to the ceremony having taken place under palm trees and white shamianas in Goa. The pictures were shared on the social media portals by some fan pages and groups. Reporting on the engagement, a local news website said that the wedding ceremony has been planned for later this year.
