CHERYL and Liam Payne were all smiles on the Brits red carpet tonight, despite holding crisis talks about their relationship.
The Sun on Sunday revealed how the couple were on the verge of splitting, but they put on a brave face and smiled for the cameras at London's O2 Arena ahead of the ceremony.

The couple - who have 11-month-old son Bear together - held hands as they posed for pictures, the first time they have been to an official event for months.
The last time they were seen in public together was at the X Factor last year when Liam performed one of his solo tracks and Cheryl watched from the audience.

Yesterday, The Sun exclusively revealed how Cheryl would put her relationship woes aside to watch Liam perform with Rita Ora at the awards show.
Liam and Rita performed their raunchy single For You, from the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack, at the ceremony, and host Jack Whitehall couldn't help but comment on their "chemistry" afterwards.
Snubbing the event would have been seen as confirmation Cheryl has given up on her two-year relationship with the ex-One Direction star.
There have been suggestions she is jealous of the time Liam,has spent travelling with Rita, 27 — which her team have denied.

Ahead of the Awards, Liam, 24, revealed he'd been sent a personalised bottle of Bacardi Rum - complete with two tumblers and two bottles of coke as mixers - and fans think it means he won't be alone at the event.

It comes following reports Cheryl, 34, could be joining Liam at the music industry bash as a show of unity amid recent split rumours.
A BRIT source told the Mirror: "Cheryl was never meant to be going and wasn't on the expected guest list but she is now toying with the idea of attending with Liam as an act of unity after all her relationship rumours."

The former X Factor judge and ex boyband star were said to be “going through a rough patch” with some insiders speculating they could split after just two years together.
As part of mammoth press day, Cheryl also appeared on BBC Breakfast where she was asked about the allegations once again.
Standing inside the brand new £2million building to help disadvantaged young people, Cheryl denied that rumours surrounding her personal life were "frustrating".
She said said: "No it doesn’t bother me at all as my focus is solely on this. I’ve waited for seven years to finally be her and none of that matters this is the most important part for me."
