Datuk Farid Kamil, 37, who is married to actress Diana Danielle, allegedly slapped an officer across the face while he was at the Kota Damansara police station to report an accident.

Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din confirmed the incident, saying Farid was immediately arrested following the assault.

“After the arrest, we ran a urine test on him where he tested positive for marijuana,” he said.

Mohd Zani said Farid would be brought and presented before a magistrate at the PJ court on Friday morning to obtain a remand order.

The drama unfolded at the station around 1.20pm on Thursday, where Farid and another person had gone to report a traffic accident.

“When the officer on duty questioned Farid on how the accident took place, he instead flashed his mobile phone and a message that read ‘300 artistes borrowing money from loan sharks due to lack of jobs’.
