It's a move that hasn't always been welcomed by soap fans. While not everyone has managed to mimic Hear'Say singer Kym Marsh's successful foray into the acting world, several pop stars have given it a crack. Blue singer Lee Ryan was a hit when he starred in EastEnders, but Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding was noticeably less popular when she made a cameo in Coronation Street. Tonight was the turn of S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt, who turned up in Albert Square as Karen Taylor's (Lorraine Stanley) wealthy sister Kandice.
